Not to rub it in, but the 360 release for DMC4 came out yesterday, too.
It looks almost identical, plays exactly the same way and... doesn't require you to take an hour installing it on the hard drive to play it first.[/b]
That said, I know PS3 users have been begging for a good action game, so it couldn't have come at a better time. It looks pretty awesome, but I just got my 360, so I have a few other games to play through first (not to mention actually BEATING DMC3, which was just ridiculous.) XD

I wasn't required to install it to my PS3. I did, it took 15 minutes, and it cuts down on load time between areas. Worth it imo.

**WARNING** **WARNING** *WARNING** *WARNING** **WARNING** Long, completely unprovoked off-topic post incoming, or: How I came to stop hating Microsoft and went back to actually playing games again **WARNING** **WARNING** *WARNING** *WARNING** **WARNING**
I'm hardly a fanboy, to be honest with you. The reason I took two years to even get involved in the next gen console war was because I wanted to look at it as objectively as possible, then weigh in between the two systems and make an informed decision. Sony has a lot of incoming properties that I'm really interested in. Final Fantasy XIII, Gran Turismo 5, and Metal Gear Solid 4, to name just a few. Truthfully, Xbox 360 doesn't really have any "MUST OWN" titles (I could live without Halo 3, but I recognize that it's a fantastic shooter and one of the best multiplayer experiences around.)
When it came down to it, however - I chose the 360. Why? Both systems were sitting right next to eachother, and they were basically the same price.
Because it all comes down to a question of business models. Say whatever you want about the Evil Empire that is Microsoft, but the fact is that they learn from their mistakes. The Xbox system did surprisingly well in North America and the Live! feature got a lot of new gamers playing online. They have certainly managed to repeat their success with the 360; they have a lot of outside support and it's clear to see why: they took a lot of their previous failures to heart and improved their product, focusing on what they knew worked.
Now take Sony. I've been using Sony products for years. The Playstation was undeniably the most popular system throughout its release period, and the PS2 piggybacked off its success, using its huge volume of games to dominate the market despite the X-box's superior hardware. Why did it work? Because it offered the best lineup of *good* games. Then they released the dismal failure that was the PSP. Excited over its promises of portable gaming on a totally new level, I was one of the first people where I lived to get one. It's since sat on my shelf for two years without being turned on even once, because they released a powerful system with nothing worth playing on it. Even worse - they kept trying to push UMD movies down my throat, which COST more than DVDs, and had inferior quality. What I wanted was a gaming system, and what I got was a more expensive portable DVD player with less compatability and a tiny screen.
And they're doing exactly the same thing with the PS3.[/b] Unlike Microsoft, Sony has failed to learn from its mistakes, and stubbornly clings to its marketing strategy even as its console sales far further and further behind. Developers have left the consoles in droves and they've lost several KEY publishers, particularly Japanese-based firms such as ATLAS (though NAMCO has, admitedly, returned to the fold.) So I asked myself... why would I buy a system that might[/b] be good in a few years from now when they get their act together, when I could[/b] buy a system that already has dozens of 'must-play' games with the same kind of promising line-up in its extended future? The popularity of the system ensures it will maintain publisher support for some time to come, and many previous 'console exclusives' are now talking about making ports for the system (I'm looking at YOU, Metal Gear Solid 4 and Final Fantasy XIII.) So when it comes down to it - you're either going to choose a system because it has specific features and games you're looking for, or you do it because you're a fanboy. I chose the 360 because it offers the best online support ever made for a system and has a great selection of games with a promising future. Make your own decision accordingly.

I have a 360 and besides the fact that it's a piece of junk that broke for no apparent reason... It also has an awkward controller. Pretty much 0 RPGs... It came with white controllers... They get dirty so easily. So many of the 360s games were flawed, spin your character around and you see the inside of this and the back of another thing...
Idk, PS has always whooped the 360s ass imo... And Nintendo whooped Sega. Just depends what generation of systems and what kind of games you enjoy. I enjoy sports and rpgs.

I don't deny that the 360 is lacking in RPGs. Blue Dragon is either decidedly mediocre or fairly disappointing, depending on who you talk to, and although Eternal Sonata is a great RPG on its own merits, it's super-cutesy style will not appeal to everyone. So, that basically leaves Oblivion, which is available on either console now, and Mass Effect, which is quite possibly the 360's best RPG offering. Mass Effect is a fantastic game in its own regard, but it's clear it has its own problems as well.
Now let's look at the flip side of the coin. The PS3 has... Enchanted Arms, which is also a critical flop, and Untold Legends which can generously be described as a "mediocre slash and hack pseudo RPG." Oh, also - it has Oblivion, which is a fantastic game... but also out and nearly identical on the 360. FFXIII isn't coming out ANY time soon, but let's be honest, that's the system's best hope of getting a great RPG any time in the next two years. So that leaves... downloadable games through the market place and pseudo-backwards compatability with old PS2 games. Now, the PSX/2 both had FANTASTIC RPG line-ups, but let's be honest... isn't that why you already own a PSX/2? Assuming you don't, are you really buying a next gen console to play last gen games on?
As for sports games, they're virtually identical across both consoles. EA puts out the same stuff year after year anyway, and while their presentation can be a little uneven from system to system, it's mostly an exact port of the same stuff. I'm not trying to belittle your choice of system; if you enjoy playing on the PS3, then I commend you for sticking to your guns.
I do want to point out, though, that if you look at it from a purely objective standpoint; there's virtually no difference between the two, except that the 360 already has a few well-established RPGs and the PS3 has the promise of some stellar ones coming up.
It's all subjective.
