I was going to type out a long thought out reply to this but ended up deciding that the 360 isn't worth the time so...360 sucks.. there plain and simple ;D. PS3 FTW.

yah, now watch your expensive dvd player end up screwing ur ability to play games. anyone remember that happening on teh PS2? And Markus actually the Genesis did have 3 extreamly great rpgs on it. phantasy star 2-4. In my book any of those 3 games were better than FF3/6 w/e you wanted to call it. I recently picked up DMC 1-3 in a bundle for like 30$, and here soon I'm getting sega classics on ps2 which is basically a dvd with like 28 genesis games on it. Of which it contains said phantasy star 2, 3, and 4. While I would like to pick up DMC 4 . I dont yet have the cash to pick up a PS3 for it. Nor have i seen enough titles that I would like to play come out for the PS3 to even warrant spending the money on the system yet. Perhaps once the new FF comes out in Dec. However from what Ive read I'm not sure i would like teh combat system yet

It now too bad with the new MGS series coming out...i just ran out of cash this month to buy it XD
but i do know my PSP is currently collecting dust.There a rumor on a backward compatibility updater coming this oct for the 40GB system
SE still need to release a official statement on when FFXIII and versusXIII is coming out.

Not to say "I told you so..." ...but I am pretty sure I predicted exactly this happening based on the horribly botched PSP, and the massive new shift in their marketing strategy (which obviously isn't working.) It makes me sad to see a company go from a dominating first place position in the "console race" to virtually useless because they refuse to support any games. I'll keep my fingers crossed; maybe it'll be worth owning someday. Until then, I have better things to spend $400 on.  |

Back to the 360 stuff... 3 broken unplayable 360's in my building alone. I would of been willing to pay more for a 360 if they would of sold me something that wasn't a piece of shit... Sure, it's great, the system has lots of games and you can play these games if your lucky enough to win the lotto and get a system that actually works. I like video games and I've owned every system, I'm a fanatic and maybe even a sucker for technology but idc I really love video games and I want to be able to play Halo 3 today, FF tomorrow, WoW the day after... Know what I mean?  In general, I don't really like the portable systems. I game at home usually, I don't really travel much... So I don't think I'd fork the cash over for another portable system unless the sucker in me was giving in to the desire to own every gadget that exists. But I've owned a few GameBoys and their spin offs. EDIT: Wow, most spelling mistakes I've ever made. This shitty PC doesn't even under line my mistakes lol.. That red under line shit is a HUGE crutch.... |

PSP in the course of its life did not do bad at all. 35 million units sold with an attach rate of 4.5. I fail to see how this is bad? Hell the DS only has an attach rate of 4.7.
As far as whats worth owning these days....all of the consoles out right now are worth owning and anyone that thinks otherwise just simply doesn't like games.
360 had a bad start with manufacturing problems...however they have subsided and its now officially safe to buy a 360
PS3 had a slow start but has been outselling the 360 in hardware since 11/07 worldwide
Wii...the one I haven't turned on in months...is simply me disliking its lack of HD and its ability to sell like Tickle me Elmo's with nothing but shovelware. There are some games I'm looking forward to but I'm not gonna say "this is the best game ever bc its Mario".
PSP has some of the best RPG's I'v ever played anywhere
DS has some neat fun games for sure.

Yea I saw a few RPGs for the PSP that looked very interesting. I just have to draw the line somewhere I think... I owned a Wii as well. I sold it. I really enjoyed Zelda and a few other games looked really good. But, -so- many games are for kids or for everyone. Fuck that. I want adult games. I guess that's just Nintendo's marketing plan and they will stick to it. Family system, family games, family fun... I'm not saying that the 360 sucks, or the games suck. Owning one may have tons of advantages too... But it just pisses me off to no end that my 360 broke and I treated it like it was gold. I bought it when it first came out, so I paid as much for my 360 as I paid for my PS3... But it doesn't work and to get it repaired I need to ship it to Microsoft and they will charge me to repair their shotty merchandise. Me, Fel and a neighbor all have red circles of doom (w/e it's called again). It's just some heart breaking shit when you fork over like 5 bills and the machinery breaks down after a certain amount of hours of game play ; ; I should of played it more when I first got it, I'm pretty sure they were repairing it for free... But dual boxing FFXI via PC and 360... was awesome! Keep it coming, at least the gaming section is bumping with action >.> |

hehe I get alot of gaming news quickly...got alot of friends who are on the inside. I definately don't post everything I get or I'd have like 50 threads a day lol. I just post what I think people will post on and comment on.
And I'm on my 3rd Xbox myself lol.

I've been trying to buy a damaged one that nobody wants. I need a 2nd 360 for the bedroom lol. I'd take a PS3 as well..I'm not picky lol.
