that might be your problem right there. When mnk's fight maat at least, hi-pots are a no-no. maat will likely do more damage to you during the time to use the hi-pot than you could possibly restore.

Also Cabarnoa will add like almost 200 more hps for ya. He is a bitch. I had to try 3 times. And the last time was soooo fucking close that I was dead outside of the BC with a warp scroll. 1 more second and it was over. O wait, I still died. lol

as fables go, if the game "Decides" your not going to win, or if you take too long Maat goes into "Bash" mode as Jon calls it. I've heard of it happening to RDM's alot, but he doesn't always do it. Allegedly the tell tale sign of him going into You-Lost mode is the message : "Looks like you weren't ready for me, were you?" before you've even lost.

I'm relatively certain its not a timed thing, as one of my fights I ran out of time trying to stay alive.

I also agree that Hi-Pots take far too long, you should probably use a faster, more expensive med. But the loss was because he went apeshit on you.

yeah the last 3 fights he did that to me.... so i decided to take a SS of the weapon spamage..... also have been told by just about every PLD. Every pld said to bring hi-pots

Hard to tell from that SS, but it doesnt look like you have much, or if any offense. I can understand hes pounding you makes it hard, but just how much dmg had you done to him before you lost?

Also, if your truly serious about it, shell out the cash and get a Vile elixir and Vile elixir+1. Theyre rare so one of each is all you can carry. Theyre instand and far more badass than you could imagine.

lastly... RDM forums turned me onto a small cheat. De lvl yourself via a 70+ whm, so your only a few 100 tnl, and do an escort quest. The EXP you gain will lvl you up mid fight... full HP/MP. This could be too risky given you might already be close to 71, thats alot of exp to throw away.

Anyway viles are amazing, instant use, like an ability, and you have iirc no delay to use abilities or spells after like you would on a hi pot. If you really cant afford em, get X pots, Hi pots tho... your crippling yourself with em. He simply hits too hard and they take too long. But like any other job, just keep at it, perisstence will pay off ^^
