Yea, I agree... It's not that I wasn't enjoying the combat system, it's just that it wasn't very challenging and they only allow you to access each new feature one at a time. Basically, I was anxious for them to give me complete control of the game and characters. Swapping members as I please, accessing their character development system, etc...
I'm also hearing complaints about the amount of cut scenes and how much story their is... Idk, I never felt like I was in CS. I was just playing. For example... DA:O. Now that game has tideous cut scenes. They are never ending. The voice overs are decent but idk and then you have to answer or ask questions... Idk, it wasn't all that great imo. At least in comparison to this it wasn't that great. DA:O is worth a play through imo but that's it. But FFXIII's story and CSs are just fucking sick. I genuinely like the characters and the story has been easy to follow. Also... If you don't like CSs wth are you playing an RPG >.>
Idk what chapter I am on. Haven't played since Shiva who is totally awesome btw.

I'm very disappointed to hear that we will never really be able to roam the world freely. That's a HUGE oversight imo, idiots. Damn... It used to be a FF theme. "w0ot, just got my airship, now can I back track and go where ever I want!"

Word! I totally miss the world map and free roaming capabilities. Side quests and the like. Backstory and what not. Anyways I'm a couple more hours in and this game just got a lot more fucking interesting, now I mash a whole bunch of buttons, not just X . XP System reminds me of the sphere grid @.@, but i like the "role" system, cant wait to play some more after my exam.

Yea played 2 hrs last night and the story gets better and better. I guess I do kinda understand how they are trying to baby feed the whole combat system. They are trying to reach out to more and more people, which makes a lot of business sense.
@ Morbid - Lol on the spoiler remark!
And yea I totally agree with ya...Can't believe they made the game so linear, that was a dumb thing to do.

I guess I do kinda understand how they are trying to baby feed the whole combat system. They are trying to reach out to more and more people, which makes a lot of business sense. Great insight imo. "Why are they explaing to me how shell and protect work?" ^ That's why. We know this stuff like teh back of our hands. I guess they are trying to get the people who are 10-15 years younger than us interested > hooked. It's all about the MMO imo. You can't beat the profit from monthly subscription fees. On a side note... I can't help myself but lol @ the new term floating around the net "JRPG"... This seems to be farily new term or has recently grown in popularity. There was a time that "JRPG's" were the only kind of RPGs. If we were to suddenly decide to give denotations to RPGs... I think SE and Japan should keep RPG and everyone else should put their countries initial in front of it lol... Just sayin'...

WHY DID MY 360 HAVE TO BREAK Fucking hell, you jinxed me! FFXIII was next on my Gamefly queue, for which the only reason I've remained subscribed was playing FFXIII since I couldn't afford it. The very next day, my PS3 (which I bought new, have had for less than a year, and have logged less than 100 hours on,) has no indication of power at all. Completely dead. Probably the power supply, and outside the 90 day Sony Warranty. Ironically, my 360, which I've had for years and have logged countless hours on, is still trucking fine... with luck, I can just swap for the 360 version of XIII and sill play it before my account expires. -_-

I don't get it. My NES/SNES never broke ever. Now we pay ~600$ for a new system when it first comes out and we can almost guarantee it's going to break eventually... Bs imo

If it is the power supply, I'm SOL. It's physically attached to the motherboard in the "fat" models, iirc, and they'd want around $150 to replace it at a Sony shop.
Fuck it. If I can find the money for the part (which isn't likely to happen any time in the foreseeable future, seeing as how I can't really afford $15 for a monthly game right now,) I'll do it myself.

Bs imo LoL I actually had my first Nintendo break. And with how it broke is one of the reasons they switched the designs of the original nintendo. Which is when that spring or w/e it was the held the cartridge down when you loaded a game up. However it was a simple fix! Just slide in a deck of cards after you loaded up a game and you were ready to go

WTF. Sentinel sucks. Vendetta is apparently useless. Any thoughts on this? Sentinel is awesome imo! You take like little to no damage. Set up a Para with 2 healers and a Sentinel, tops off the party very fast and easily. I think only Snow has Vendetta and your right, it doesnt seem to counter attack like its supposed to... Idk, Ive barely been able to play with Snow. I LOVE THIS FUCKING STORY! Sahz ftw
