I'd prefer overcrowding to no people. That's far and away the number one reason to combine servers. It would make economic sense for SE as well, since the peak server load would be more spread out over a few time periods, allowing for more players on one server. Also, just think of the people you've met in EO who weren't from NA. $10 says it's not ready in 2009 though I'd say the exact same thing but I seem to have ended up on a server in WoW as retarded as me, vs. my 1st MMO where from midnight to afternoon you'd be hard-pressed to find a soul. Though I'd still prefer the busyness 24/7

I was just informed by a real live african american that's not necessarily true. I like to think of him more as French-lite... cause really... oh fill in your own punchline. I come bearing puppys. and Rainbows :-)

You know I've got nothing but love for all of you. My experience with EO made FFXI easily the most satisfying game I've ever played that I never beat or even saw through to where I wanted to be to call it "Complete".
I dont think I'll ever play another MMO, but I appreciate that we can all still be in touch, in one form or another ;-)

I dont think I'll ever play another MMO, but I appreciate that we can all still be in touch, in one form or another When Ultima Online came out, I thought "this will be the end of me". But I was in undergrad and I abstained. But I still played all the FF games. When FFXI was announced, I knew I had to play it. And I did, on and off for three years. I thought I would regret my time playing. But you know what? I don't. Like Code says, the fact that we keep in touch - even casually - proves that the time wasn't wasted. And who knows...maybe someday we'll be tearing shit up together again

Code is in a constant state of denial. Once everyone else jumps on an awesome MMO, so shall he. If he doesn't it would be out of pure spite of this comment alone but that wont' mean he won't want to.
I don't think I could ever devote myself to an MMO like I did with FFXI again personally. I just don't have the time anymore and the only place I could make time would be when I should be sleeping.
But I will definately try another MMO and look forward to what SE has to put out. There hasn't been another game thats not an MMO that offers me the complexity or social experience that I enjoy.

I don't miss the gameplay of ffxi, but I miss the drama. You guys don't seem to get much drama here in WoWland. Isn't anyone plotting an overthrow of the guild?
Not one person is ambitious enough to take the cream of the crop from this guild and venture out on their own to make a name for themselves? I'm sure Tempus's overbearing nature has worn thin with at least a few of you. C'mon people, rise up and be recognized for the effort you put forth!
I'm guessing that WoW doesn't have the same e-peen factor, since through instancing you're not in direct competition with other guilds, so you don't build up the hatred for other guilds like you do in FFXI. And that's a damn shame.

People change guilds like `[insert simile here] which sometimes results in.. unfriendliness But the real reason I'd say there's less drama is because people can just run away from it by changing their name or transferring servers+changing names, or re-roll another character since it's not too hard to get to 70. All in all your guild, character and reputation are just so fickle compared to how it was in FF
