Well, looks like I may be the first to grace the forums with pics of a home-grown chocobo, so without further delay, here's FattyChance! Good ol' yellow: a classic never goes out of style. Hold on, lost a contact lens... Top speed: 2mph! You don't get much more majestic than that. Can't wait to see everyone else's baby birds all grown up! ;D

Nice, mine just hit adolescents. I finally see an HP bar go down. Did you ever scold your choco?

Yeah, they are slow. Supposedly, you are supposed to work on their traits with food and care, to up the stats, which can make them faster. You have to reregister to ride, if the stats change.

Nice looking bird, Aly-- congrats! ^^ I've never had to scold mine-- she just got sick alot and got irritated because I didn't have her compete a lot. And yeah, they're pretty slow, though I think the majority of forum posts on the subject are greatly over-exaggerated. Most people are expecting their chocobos with sub-standard strength to be faster than the rental ones, but that's just not the case. Mine has poor stats in both strength and endurance, she wasn't painfully slow but certainly won't win any races. I've only ridden once, snapped some pics and then had to go before the timer ran out, but I was on for a good 10-15 minutes and no sign of tiring.

I think that's when you're supposed to scold the chocobo-- when it's too infatuated with you. It's not happened to me yet, so can't confirm-- scold at your own risk.

yah, too bad here in the next patch they releasing some new shit for chocobo's, that unfortunatly wont effect any that are currnetly being raised. effects are diffeffernt graphics that depict like what your choco's main stats are or someing IE if your choco is uber fast it will look a lil differnt to reflect that, or if your choco's a treasure hunter prolly like a hsiney beak or something idk. Also they adding in 2 new colors for choco's to further add more differences to the current yellow, black, an blue. I belive they were adding Red for sure, but not sure the other color(maybe white or green)? btw yes, you will have to work hard to get faster choco's than the stables. As I know that the npc that tells you about chocobo's says that the chocobo stables raises all chocobos for strength end endurance. However things you can do to increase ride time like learning special abilities like auto-regen which basically gives em a bit more juice. When setting up a care plan keep the following in mind: www.playonline.com/pcd/update/ff11us/20060822VOL2B1/table03en.jpgSo basically if you really really want to get your choco's speed up in a hurry, and dont care about anything else have him/her deliver messages, jus be ready to treat ur choco good after setting this up as affection will go down fast

What stat would fried chocobo increase..?

Okay, looks like you scold your chocobo when it's spoiled, not lovesick. Maybe you can cure lovesickness by getting it some choco-porn..?
