I've grown sooo sooo tired of Mario.....I mean....they are as old as me...
I'm was relatively dissappointed with Nintendo's E3 performance. I've been reading articles on the controller and none of them are good. Ofcourse they have time to make corrections.
Only game I'm interested is Zelda and possably Crystal Chronicles.

The game looks awesome, I also heard that this game will be compatible with the gamecube controllers. And if that is true than other games may be compatible as well.

I don't understand how a fighting game with old corny nintendo charactors is good? lol Shouldn't a fighting game have I dunno....decent fighting in it...I dunno about you..but I'm sure as shit I can kick Mario's ass.

SSBM is one of the best fighting games I have played. SSBM, and FFCC are two fo the best games for game cube imo

Its differnt. Its like comparing MK to Tekken, MK has special moves, with projectiles, spearing (Get over here!) freezing, and all manners of blood.
Tekken has physics and solid fighting styles.
Oranges and apples, both taste good, but don't mix all to well.
Each are good in it's own way.

lol I can't agree with you on this one...to me its like mixing apples to shit lol.
I see alot of people hyped over this game and for the life of me I can't figure out why....Its kinda like when a girls says a guy is hot...i'm not gay..but I can look at a guy and tell why they think he is hott...this game is like saying Jack Black is hott

I think it really relies in your tolerance to the cartoony nature of Mario. IMO I'd go for realism as well; The plumber was uninteresting to me in the early 90's. Just too kiddy. As far as solid fighting games go, this is a novelty.
Dunno, I dont want to see "My Little Pony - Tae Kwon Do Brawl" either, just seems very young.
meh; Miso-Miso, just not of my tastes, and its another Super Mario, not a fighter imo. Dont know how many more instances they can put Mario into to keep their trademark active.

Well either way dont bash the roots of gaming....if it wasnt for Mario's kiddy ass you wouldnt be playing games like FF today....and btw Smash Bros on Gamecube outsold any fighting game of last generation.

Nostalgia is not a good enough reason for me to like mario in present games. If mario wasn't invented..something else would have been.
the real roots to gaming took place long before mario fyi. mario just broke sales records for home gaming.

If it wasn't for Voltron I wouldn't be watching cartoons. if it wasn't for Barney, alot of children wouldn't like dinosaurs. If it wasn't for Sesame st, alot of kids wouldn't like numbers. If it wasn't for..... Incorrect. 89% is awfully low for outselling all fighting games for the last generation... hrmm... lets dig deeper: sixth... 92nd.... 16th... and in Video Game World Total Sales SSB falls in line not even in the top 50. Topped out I might add by : Tekken 3 from 1998 (a measly 3 years prior, not much of a generation there) and Street Fighter 2 _Code |

Tekken Franchise 1-4 has sold 20 million units not including
Tekken 5 sold the most out of all the Tekken's
Super Smash Brothers 2.74 million
Tekken 5 sold 174,000 units in the first week..above any other fighting game that year.
