Because every game doesn't need a new thread! Currently working on GTA IV Expansions (Lost & Damned, and then doing Ballad of Gay Tony). After that I may work on the GTA IV online trophies I need for the plat. GTA IV is sometimes fun, sometimes frustrating. I was getting ready to lob a grenade into the 2nd floor window of a house during a mission, and out of nowhere a cab runs me over. Then the grenade blows up the car...and me with it

I was thinking of starting a similar thread
EDIT: I bumped the old GTA IV thread just in case you wanted to check it out.
I own GTA IV and the expansions I just haven't invested much time in them. It's on my list of games to play. Eddie rants and raves about Uncharted and even Infamous. So I want to get through those before their sequels are released... GTA sequel in the works.
I am currently playing Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. I need to get through that before Skyrim comes out. I pretty much missed all of 2010's awesome games.
I'm also playing MK and KZ3. KZ3's online is sooo much fun. It's so much fun that I abandoned the single player game and never looked back hehe. I never would of thought that I'd become a fan of FPSs. I think MK is my favourite fighter of all time. I'm no fighter expert so I may be way off base here but I think that this may be the best fighter of all time. It's certainly the one that I enjoy the most... Smoke is so ninja lol

yeah Colin got MK, playing as Scorpion was a lot of fun.
..'til he realized Block always auto-faces your opponent lol. Then it's just hold block, Jump if fire's cast, then counter. I'm sure there's more than 3 moves I could've used though!
It seemed a lot more simpler than recent fighting games. Like wtf@stances and weapon and side-stepping. Oldschool MK with specials ftw.

There not much line up this year...either that or developer are refusing to open their mouth on release T.T

Ballad of Gay Tony is a lot of fun. Title is very misleading. Lost and Damned is the one with full frontal male nudity...
Really tempted to get Mortal Kombat!

@locke, yea you are pretty much Gay Tony's bodyguard. So it is misleading. I couldn't get into the Lost and the Damned at all. Something about being a biker that really turned me off of the game.
@stahn DA2 is definitely worth the play through imo. Fun stuff. From what I hear/read, Portal 2 is mind blowing. But I'm not really into puzzle games.
MK is a blast ^^ Tons of stuff to unlock. The tower is pretty mush 300 mini games. I'm about half done. Most of them so far have been pretty easy but they are getting harder.
I'm also playing Infamous on the side. At first, I was stuck on a mission where the bad guys kept handing my ass to me. I tried some other missions instead and I'm progressing along quite smoothly now. The city kind of makes me think of GTA but you can pretty much scale any building and jump from the top of any building. It's a wonderful feeling.

I have portal 2. Played and beat it. Convinced my brother get it on the PS3 and now that the network is back up he left it at a cousins house. I just wanna play co-op. He said he forgot it there. I would hit him if it would ever work and cause he to learn not to be so forgetful and oblivious.

MK Question: Does everyone have the same basic moves like the previous games? Meaning they all have the same move sets except specials (the crouching sweep, uppercut, etc.). I always thought that was pretty weak and could never take the game seriously because of it.
I did enjoy kicking ass at the arcade with Kabal in MK3 - loved his combos:

I fired up the game, entered Practice mode and compared Liu Kang to Scorpion. I confirmed what I already knew. Yes, everyone does have the same basic moves. Front Punch, Back Punch, Front Kick, Back Kick, Upper Cut, Sweep. BUT MK9 does have quite a bit variety. For example Scorpion's Forward + Triangle = Doom Slice. Back + Triangle = Blade Overhead. Then each character has combos. An example of one of Scorpions combos: Square, Square, Square = Right handed punch, left handed punch, right handed punch with your fist on fire. For Liu Kang: Forward + Triangle = Knee Bash and Back + Triangle = Gut Strike. Square, Square, Square = 3 lefts from Liu with the last one being on some Bruce Lee shit. Waaaaaa! Liu Kang even has something called a Dragon Stance. You pop into Dragon Stance, hit one of the four buttons and he has some other harder hitting strikes. MK9 also has tag teams where you can perform fast tags, tag kombos and tag specials. 3-4 finishers per character iirc. You can charge up your bar and do an X Ray attack. Or use 2 bars to break an opponents combo. Or use 1 bar to power up one of your special attacks. MK9 also boasts quite a few modes. Hopefully this helps

Working on the ballad of gay tony trophies. they're not bad except the 100% mission completion times, which are very tough.

Currently replaying Castlevania Symphony of the Night (PSX) to get back into platformers. Dont hate, if they made a new version with spiffy graphics and reworked mobs/maps, I'd play that too, the gameplay is still spot on.
