Currently replaying Castlevania Symphony of the Night (PSX) to get back into platformers. Dont hate, if they made a new version with spiffy graphics and reworked mobs/maps, I'd play that too, the gameplay is still spot on. -t Have you checked out Castlevania: Lords of Shadows for the PS3? www.gamespot.com/ps3/action/lordsofshadow/index.htmlI don't think I've played a Castlevania since the NES or maybe the SNES. So I'm not too sure how the series has evolved or what to expect from Lords of Shadows. But it's on my "I should check this out" list. Just out of respect for the series. I'm still chugging along in Infamous and MK trophies in between. In MK, I'm stuck on the Four Arms Tower Challenge. It's making me crazy... It was actually pretty damn hard for me to get back into console gaming ><

Actually my plan is to work through the Castlevania series from PSX forward, so eventually I'll get around to the PS3 versions. The "problem" with the newer versions though is that they are 3d, and Im not wild about 3d platformers.

Castlevania: Harmony of Despair
It's more fighter/platformer than zelda/metroid/SOTN though.

It was actually pretty damn hard for me to get back into console gaming >< FFXII helped me transition out of XI, then I did a mix of WoW and console stuff, and then just console. But now that the GF is working 2nd and 3rd shifts, I'm starting to miss MMO's.

Finished all the trophies for the GTA IV tbogt expansion last night. The last mission was a pain in the ass. Basically you have to fight your way through the amusement park, ride a bike to the airport and catch a plane, and then go to the park in Dukes. To make it to where you need to be in the park, you pretty much need to hit a ramp and jump over the expressway to beat the time limit.
So I ran through the mission, everything going fine, and I'm heading towards the ramp. Some random car slams into me before I hit the ramp and I miss. Second run, same thing happens. Third run - same thing!
Fourth run I finally didn't get driven into and finished in 9:50. I swear they do that shit on purpose. A half hour of my life I'll never get back!
I'd like to work on the GTA online trophies; it's all I need for the platinum. But they are a bitch. If anyone wants to boost, I'm in!

Started on the GTA IV online trophies, played for 8 hours Friday night...when I logged in Sat morning my results were all gone - guess they are still having problems with the network.
Went back to SSFIV trials, finished Dudley...that's about it. Trials are rough.

Ummm, I finished the first Uncharted and I got 0 trophies -.- I'm not sure why, not sure how to fix it. Tbh I haven't investigated that much but it will require more than a trophy sync to fix :/
Now I'm on Uncharted 2 which plays like an action movie. The first one wasn't too shabby. The second is awesome. Koodos to Naughty Dog. The game is glitch free, smooth camera transitions from CS to action. It's a great game ^^
I have Demon's Souls waiting in the wings. I put MK on the back burner and even though PSN is back up, I haven't really touched KZ3. Almost feels like I have to learn the game again and just as I was getting into an FPS :/

Wasn't Uncharted out before trophies? Maybe there was a patch you needed to download to activate them. Worked on SSF4 trials some more last night. Did some of the harder Balrog, Akuma and Blanka trials. Tried to finish DeeJay but could NOT hit trial 23 Jump HP LP LP LK EX Air Slash Super The LP to LK has to be a chain, meaning you have a one frame window to hit LK or you can't do the EX Air Slash. Then you have to follow that next to impossible chain by entering the following commands in less than a quarter of a second: <-LK ->MP+HP <- ->LK

Did end up finishing Dee Jay's trials.
Decided to give the Dragon Age expansion a go - Awakenings. Just finished it up and now have 100%. My rogue was so bad ass, a killing machine.
Not sure what I'm going to play next.

Grabbed Infamous, the free download. Really good game, I enjoyed it quite a bit. It's GTA without the vehicles and you shoot lightning instead of guns. Outstanding gameplay...and I got the plat Wednesday night.
Also been playing WWE All Stars. My brother was in town and we went halves on it and played for a few days. All the moves and character designs are super exaggerated, which makes it sorta fun. Gameplay is interesting, you can chain moves together, but it doesn't have the flow of No Mercy. The tribute moves to each wrestler are pretty cool.
Negatives: Load times are long, online play is poor, gameplay can be very one sided, cage matches suck. My biggest grip is you can't just set the game to 'watch' mode, and let the CPU battle it out. You have to be controlling someone.
Roster is awesome: Hogan, Warrior, Andre, Steamboat, Snuka, Piper, Honkey Tonk, Mr. Perfect, Savage, Michaels, HHH, Undertaker, Rock, Austin, etc.

I actually played inFamous 2 about two weeks ago. I put a decent amount of time into the first one but I recall stopping once you get to the next "island". inFamous 2 is actually quite a bit different from the first one and I actually think it is better. You don't start off with nothing, you actually have most of the skills from inFamous 1 to use, and the AI controlled enemies don't come directly from the U.S. Army Ranger Sniper division.

I like the comment about the sniper division ;D Seriously - you'd be sliding on the train tracks moving pretty fast and some dude on a building a half mile away would hit you three times. I'm excited about picking up Infamous 2, and will probably pick it up later this year.

Played the hell out of WWE All Stars when my brother was in town, and I got the plat after boosting with someone for the online trophies. Fun game with the exaggerated moves and loaded roster. The online play was horrible - load times took forever.
Moved on to Super Street Fighter Arcade, which was a nice update. Vega got a couple buffs, and I've played decently well with him online (~1500 rating). The new characters: Dark Ryu and Oni are pretty cool, and so are the Kung-Fu Brothers (Yun and Yang), but they are OP. I got 100% which was pretty easy (no trials or online stuff required).
I'm playing God of War now. Picked up the God of War Collection, and played through GoW I (plat), and am working on GoW II. GoW III is in the mail and I'll start that after I get the plat in II. The first two are fun, and I'm sure the third won't disappoint.
After III I might try Mortal Kombat, but not sure. Sort of itching to play an RPG.

I finished the first GoW, got to a stage in 2nd GoW that I didn't like and I never went back to the game lol... The 3rd is supposed to be the best of the lot.
I'll pick up Infamous 2 sooner or later as well. I'm saving it because I know I will enjoy it and I already have a pretty large gaming back log.
I'm drifting from game to game at the moment. KZ3 online > DA's expansions > L.A. Noire (quickly losing interest, it just makes me want to play GTA). I picked up Borderlands for 15$, played it for like 20 minutes and decided that I would wait until I was done with the games I'm currently playing. Borderlands looks awesome though.
