If you've ever played or had an interest in Magic: The Gathering, I invite you to take a look at this website. We are a group made up largely of orphans and friends of orphans who have been playing card games online in a semi-formal league for the last 3 years. Later this month, we will be entering into our first season since the major overhaul of our point tracking system, and we would like to invite you to join us. If you've ever had an interest in playing the game, either seriously or casually, it's worth a look. The MTG FAQ page touches on what we have to offer: There are a few other leagues out there that have active drafting or free-building communities, but none of them really come close to offering an experience like the one where you play using real cards with your friends. That’s where we’re different. The Lunch Group Gamers league was founded by friends who all eventually moved away and wanted to keep playing with their old friends – it tries to recapture a lot of the feeling from playing the actual card game with real people. The most unique way we do this is by giving each player their own Cardpool: a collection of cards that represents the cards that they come to “own” over the course of their league careers.
By playing ranked games against other opponents or kicking back and relaxing with some friends in a stress-free practice game, you earn points. Points are our unique form of virtual currency that distinguish what we do from everything else out there. They are, for all intents and purposes, money that you can spend on cards and booster packs to bolster your deck and unlock all-new experiences. The best part of this is that you get them by simply playing the game. How much real life money you can sink into your collection has no meaning here, card pools exist in their own separate, sustainable player economy where players can buy or trade their points with other players for the cards they want or need.
In short, you get almost all of the benefits of playing the game in person with your friends with a few value-added features that help keep the game feeling fair, balanced and interesting. Of course, it can’t completely replace playing with your friends… so it is my continued hope that this league will inspire new players to go out and try the local hobby scene or rekindle that interest. If you're interested, you can let me know on the forum via a PM, send me an e-mail, or just reply in this thread.

This.
Also, this.
I'm a huge fan of the "metroidvania" genre. The GBA Castlevania titles took the SOTN formula and tried to flip it a bit with varying results, but we haven't had a really good modern one since Shadow Complex for the Xbox Live! Arcade.

Yeah, I've found myself in a similar situation.
Between work, being sick, Starcraft 2 and getting dragged to a few heroics with friends, I haven't really found myself to have a lot of time for it lately.
It's not that I'm not really pumped up about the game, I just also kind of feel that with it coming out in a few days it's not worth going all-in and spoiling everything for myself. I also have to find a way to put in $75 for the collector's edition or I'll be waiting until my paycheck on the 1st.

I just played a bunch of 4v4 matches with friends and we placed into bronze league.
We fought ten platinum or diamond league ranked players/teams in a row.
/facepalm

That tweaker they found and called a professional dancer was pretty bad. Yeah, I thought so too, but I have no moves...
