Yea it's like purely political or for show or out of respect for the history of the two countries... I believe that we do give money (it has a special word that I can't remember atm ><) once a year to the Monarchy. But non of it really has an impact on the governing of Canada. I actually looked this up after i typed that, haha. Seems to make sense, though i'm not sure how much more / less you'd be paying should you change your head of state to, for example, a president. The whole article is an interesting read and you could find arguments both for and against the Monarchy in there, but that's not really any of my business.

Was surprisingly good fun, i don't usually enjoy ZA that much.
I'm just posting this because Aeri was clearly trying to hide me in her screenshots. ;P

We're still part of the "monarchy"... Mixed feelings about it tbh, silly political shit imo... On a side note, one of the Princes married someone from Quebec recently. It created quite an interest up here. Well, i assume you'll get rid of the Monarch as your head of state at some point, i'm not even sure how it affects your country at the moment because it barely affects the governance of even here these days. It's nice to have a head of state who is outside the political pettiness the main parties seem to enjoy. I like the Queen, i'm not too fussed about the rest of them though (Zara Phillips is hot, mind). And yeah, i saw that on the news. I think he's eleventh in line to the throne or something like that, so if something like the events of the film 'King Ralph' happens, we could get a French-Canadian Queen.

Cool! It's very interesting, I'm guessing none of us have seen a real queen in person. What was the event? How tight was security? It was the 300th Anniversary of our harbour's Royal Commission, which made our town very wealthy for a time. They were also celebrating the freedom of our harbour the US Navy was given in 1999 i think (historical reasons), but that happens every year. Security wasn't too tight. The roads from one of the train stations all along the route they took to the harbour were closed to vehicles and there were extra police brought in too. In that pic, the guy in the suit behind her slightly to her left was armed (my sister pointed out his gun to me) and he came in a Land Rover with four others in similar attire, so i assume they were all armed body guards. I don't know if you'd count the military personnel there (including some US Navy men) as security, but yeah, i wouldn't normally see that many police officers here.

I know it's not really interesting to many people, and even less so since i've went on about all day, but a couple of people asked to see my pictures. Only the one came out very well, but i uploaded anything that wasn't either the pavement, the back of someone's head or empty sky (apparently i'm a shockingly bad photographer, but i'll blame the camera). So i'll just post the one that came out, and if you want to look at the other ones just change the number. They go from 2002 to 2022 before my batteries ran out. :/ www.aoyg32.dsl.pipex.com/pics/q/qe2013.jpg

1: Type in "[your name] needs" in the Google search: "Rick needs a massage." Good start. 2: Type in "[your name] looks like" in Google search: "Rick looks like he's plotting some evil deed." Sshhhh, it's a secret. 3: Type in "[your name] does" in Google search: "Rick does all the work." So true. 4: Type in "[your name] hates" in Google search: "Rick hates Carbon Sequestration." Hate is too strong a word, Google. I would prefer us to cut down the amount of CO2 we generate so sequestration wouldn't be necessary, that's all. 5: Type in "[your name] goes to" in Google search: "Rick Goes To Brussels." I've been to Brussels. It's very nice. There's a famous statue / water feature of a boy peeing, it's fantastic. 6: Type in "[your name] loves" in Google search: "Rick Loves Ilsa." <3 Ilsa. Whom i have yet to meet. 7: Type in "[your name] eats" in Google search: "Rick Eats Dog Food." You lie Google, you fucking lie!" 8: Type in "[your name] has" in Google search: "Rick has lost his stick, but it's only used for poking a bat." Hahaha. 9: Type in "[your name] died" in Google Search: "Rick died a little bit with every guy who died under his command." This must be from back when i was in 'Nam. >.> 10: Type in "[your name] will" in Google search: "Rick will show viewers all of the basic steps." Clearly from the blurb of the back of my latest work-out dvd.

hey guys i had to write a short peice about 200 words for college and this what i came up with. i would really like your opinion on it if you dont mind. The wind howled against the entrance to the cave near the top of frostmane mountain, It is the highest peak in the Alteric mountain range near the hillsbard. The ground was covered in snow and it blew and danced in the air as the wind blew. Inside the cave there was a fire dancing along the walls bringing the only light into the cave. A lone figure sat by the fire, his eyes watched as the fire flickered. His giant arms outstretched to grab a little heat on this cold bitter night. His armour lay on the ground to the back off the cave, it was well battle worn. It stank of the blood of the many humans he had fought in his lifetime. It was heavy and awkward looking yet he was able to move with ease as he went from foe to foe. His shield was made of the toughest metal, and had saved his life on many a time, blocking the advancing blows that came from many. His axe lay beside him always by his side, always ready to strike at anyone that tried to take him by surprise. His huge head bore the scars of many a different battle which now seemed such a long time ago. His tusks were cracked and chipped yet they still looked really menacing and could still strike fear into anything that came too close for their own comfort. His teeth were as yellow as you have ever seen and as sharp as nails, which were great for biting and chewing meat. He wore a ring in his nose. And his eyes were blood red. Redder than most have ever seen Blood lust they called it. His hair was as dark as night and was held at the back in what we could call a ponytail. There was a sudden sound at the door of the cave entrance and he slowly reached for his axe and brought it to his side and rose slowly and moved with such ease towards the cave entrance. As he came closer to the entrance the noise became more clear. The sound of twigs and sticks breaking as something or someone walked on them. He came to the cave entrance, hidden by the darkness he watched and waited to see what would appear in front of him. He was ready to strike. I'm no literary critic so my opinion doesn't mean much but i like the atmosphere you've created, i take it he's a Tauren? Shame it's not longer. There are a few missing capitals on place names and i highlighted a few typos you may have missed (though i'm not certain how you spell 'armour' there). edit: added red since the bold didn't seem to work.

Lmao. You know in Final Fantasy XI you could actually get married for real in game, rings, ceremony, invitations and the whole nine yards. Same in Star Wars Galaxies. I went to more than one in our guild.
