I had to share... I've been leveling lowbie jobs on Titan these days, so I browse KI. I stumbled across Map's post, well written and fun to read but doesn't really explain wtf is going on lol...

When ever I find that SE has been banning people, I always go and check my account lol... I really don't think I've ever broken any rules, just paranoid >.> Anyways, it's note worthy news in the world of MMO's

I cannot express the glee I feel to see merona was one of those who got perma banned.

That is what you get for abusing exploits. You know it's wrong yet you still do it, moronic IMO.

I'm guessing the temp bans are those who did it once or twice, and the perma bans are the ones who did it a lot more.


At any rate, making players this unsure about their account security because they may have done something a year ago that they can get banned for tomorrow does not bode well for SE...

It is just making what is left of the game an even bigger laughing stock than it already was.

Also it shows how addictive / bad the game was to have people actually happy to be banned so they never play again.

I know I felt the same way when I found out Stahn was deleted for good. A little sad, but happier in the long run.

my account is still floating around somewhere, I tried to go back like a year ago or something but it wasn't the same. I miss playing that game and the good times i had with friends... It'll be hard to forget

The glue that held that game together was the player community you were practically forced to interact with.

Made a lot of good friends that remain so even to this day =)

I played with most of them at one point or another. The time investment wiped out here is considerable. With 1% drops, 24 hour pops and unbeatable mobs, fuck Square Enix's sad excuse of an MMO. They drive their own community to cheat. I'm glad I never got sucked into the real end game; who knows where I'd be personally and professionally right now.

I hope they all move on, and are able to realize their dreams elsewhere. There are other social outlets online that can allow gamers to get their online fix without spending *literally* years to get items.

A lot of those names disappoint me, but none of them were entirely unexpected.

I've not been back, but I do still find it really hard to forget about that game. It was the best and worst gaming experience I've ever had, but I think I've finally started to realize that even if I did go back, the only thing that would remain the same would be the inexcusable work SE puts you through to actually have fun.
