So the server was dead, and i mean DEAD till jp time last night, and then it started getting busy REAL fast. Id bet that lots of them d/l it before going to work/school and thats why it was so congested earlier. -t |

Could this be in preperation of a lvl cap raise perhaps.
Seems like now that the EU has joined the FF realm that now its not a matter of just working on one job to lvl 75, but the act of getting all your jobs to lvl 75 now.
I'm thinking here sometime soon with this XP change they might be trying to lifed the cap to lvl 80 or something like that.
*faints* Blm/Rdm with Tier 3 spells and AM + Convert

Changing the lvl cap to 80 would fuck this game up real bad. The only way I think they could pull it off is allow you to be xp past 75 but only certian areas will allow for you to be past the 75 cap. There is no way they will let you get up to 80 and fight hnms and gods at their regular lvl. IMO it would just fuck up the whole thing they have going right now. It would have to be implemented in a certian way for it to work.

I do agree with you on that note. There would have to be some major new developments for any kind of lvl cap raise. There wouls have to adjust mobs, new areas, equipment. blah blah..
But at the same time do you think this should be done in order to have contiuned play with some of the jobs that are capped?
I mean once you hit lvl 75 in any job, granted you have all the endgame stuff, but dont you think you get kinda bored not being able to do or get anything new with capped jobs?
I think in the future of FF they will have to raise the cap just to expand the game more. This wont be for a long time, but I wouldn't mind seeing what could have with a lvl cap raise, they can do some beta testing or something..

Hmm.. funny that you ask that. cause if I remeber right there is a cap on that right now too..
It would make sense right now when you hit lvl 75 you get merit points and then if the cap go's up once you say hit lvl 80.
The merit cap should raise even more just like it is with lvl 75

yeah but the merit point can be assigned to a wide amount of things.
stat's, Spell. WS, Job traits, job abilityes.
it might seem kinda high, but once you've put the point into these verious things, you chr gets a little kick, but also I think is only one time too.
so the first lvl 75 job can get the point to its cap, but you don't get points for each job that hits lvl 75. I dont thing. I'll check on that.
but even more on that note, when you get to the point of assigning the point you'll have to thing about it cause it messes with all your jobs.
Ex. a lvl 75 blm, might spend the points in int, spell and abilities, but at the time they just cut off all the chances to help any other jobs they play with.
so think about a person spending the points if they played all jobs. its not really that much in the long run.
