So this is basically the conversation I had with my husband last night. Well, it was Ryan's fault. Right as I was about to nod off, he pipes up with, "Do you think the kids could three-man one of your raids?"
My response. "Uhhhh, who's the tank?"
Yes, I was pretty damned tired and he just had to start this. Mr. "I know you're addicted to that game, as much as I love my xbox, so I'm going to half assedly pay attention to your game play and then as the weirdest questions possible."
Let me introduce the kids.
Tasha
Growly
Denis
Now, all three are from the same litter, and are about 3.5 yrs old.
The easiest part was figuring out who would be the DPS. Tasha is our ADD hyperactive omgomgomg teleporting cat. She likes to get up close and personal before smacking shit up. Think of her as the melee kitty druid. Yup, that's Tasha...just add crack.
The hard part for me was figuring who was the tank, and who's the healer. Ry made that rather simple by figuring it out based upon their personalities. He figures that Denis, being the asshole he is, would be the tank. Due to the fact that we've caught him with multiple birds, snakes, and squirrels (not to mention 2 mountain beavers one day), Denis is the logical prot pally tank. He holds aggro, has an attitude, and leaves when he doesn't get his way. Once he has pulled aggro, he doesn't let it go. Unlike real pally tanks, Denis likes to play with his mobs after they're dead.
Growly lays about, gets in your way, and stands there looking all cute and fluffy. He loses interest quickly, drinks alot, and generally plays the part of a holy priest quite well. We think he spec'd a bit into shadow as we've seen times where Denis will have aggro and Growly lashes out with some dps of his own.
So, with that being said, I gave the opinion of no, they wouldn't be able to 3 man a 5man instance higher than rfk, with there being no way in hell of them being able to 3 man Kara or higher. I then tried going back to sleep. It almost worked until I heard his voice once more.
"Do you think the kids should respec out of furball?"
My first response was, "Furball is a racial, not a spec."
My second was, "What, do you think they need to spec poodle?"
My third, "Go to sleep you ass."
My response. "Uhhhh, who's the tank?"
