It is the dance... the dance of life.
I generally reserve excitement for unreleased games due to the fact that no matter how much hype surrounds them, they often turn out to be colossal disappointments (I'm looking at you, Too Human.)
That said, it's hard not to feel what I can only describe as quivering anticipation for some of the big name titles that are on the horizon.
Little Big Planet looks fantastic. I'm hoping it will do for the PS3 what Patapon did for the PSP.
Heavy Rain looks like a great technical achievment, but whether it will translate into good game play or just end up a generic dollar-bin "adventure" game remains to be seen. It has a lot of potential, but games in its genre rarely seem to achieve their lofty goals.
Killzone 2 may well be the next "killer app" for the PS3. The problem is the amount of hype that surrounded both of the preceding titles. The first Killzone was, frankly, a beautiful letdown with fantastic art direction and stagnant gameplay. It certainly showed a lot of potential, in addition to room for growth. Its developer is virtually unknown, having produced less than 10 retail releases in the last 8 years, including its time both before and after being acquired by Sony. It's obvious Sony is throwing a lot of money into this project; whether the developers are able to learn from their previous mistakes and create a perfect game this time remains to be seen.
Singstar is a game I don't have a personal interest in, but it's nice to see them pushing a few more casual/party games on the system. There's nothing wrong with variety.
The Eyetoy product line has always been interesting, but kind of empty when it came down to it. This new venture looks like an attempt to kind of remedy this. Not much else to comment on. IT will be very cool if it works on a technical level. Otherwise, it would be better off staying as a tech demo.

And McClebby..if I remember right you live in the Phillipines? So it would make sense that you would import your PS3 anyways because it would be cheaper. And since they are region free for HD it doesn't matter. The Clebster is from Singapore, actually. ;-) In the same "general" region but Singapore is about the same distance from the Phillipines as India is from Cambodia and Vietnam, so take that for what you will. heh Aye Nau what she said lol we are in the South east Asia region but the DVD code for us is code3 irrc but not too sure what code is the HD are never bother to check(typical Singaporean >.>) yeah but i think mine is region free PS3 imported from japan i think

I have high hopes for LBP....4 person coop etc. Seems like it will be a great time. This will be the PS3 flagship game. Heavy Rain seems like a technical achievement in the graphics but I'm worried about the gameplay as it will be all QTE based from what I understand. I'm sure that adds a sense of realism to the game as the movements are scripted rather then user input like in most games. Killzone 2.....all I can say is wow...watching the video's, reading the reviews...this may very well be my most anticipated game of all. So much is being put into this game thats its not even funny. They already have tons of DLC lined up. I think this is the game that will make people buy PS3's. Singstar is dumb......can't stand it lol The eyetoy game is adorable....but thats that lol. Jonathan...yea round round right like a record baby round round right round. All in fun though. McClebby sorry about that lol. No offense was meant by me picking the wrong country. Its been a while...all I can remember is McClebby was awesome But for now.....Infinite Undiscovery next week Can't wait.

yes it is. Can't wait.
Oh btw Sieg...look what I came across this morning.. Looks like they are going the Xbox 360 route for BC in the future.
Man benötige kein PS3-Singstar.
David Reeves explained that the old SingStar games will run via some kind of software emulation coming in a future firmware update. The games will run without the need of a PS3 SingStar.
"Wir beobachten, bei welchen Titeln sich dies noch lohnen wird, und werden in Zukunft möglicherweise >weitere PS2-Spiele auf der PS3 per Emulation zum Laufen bringen." Dies sei jedoch ein technisch sehr >aufwendiger Prozess, weil die nötigen PS2-Chips den aktuellen PS3-Modellen fehlen.
They are also looking at which other titles are worth a similar update. It's a difficult task, because the new PS3 models lack neccessary PS2-chips.

Hmmm.
I'm not sure what to make of it. It's really no different than what we've previously been told in relation to software based backwards compatibility, but at least they're making some kind of attempt at improving the existing framework.

The old PS3 80GB is software emulated iirc. Not too sure if that have anything to do with chip i'm no techno geek like Sosa =P

the 80gig still had one of two required chips so they were only partially emulated. The new ones lack that chip (for sony to save money) and would require complete software emulation.
