Holy. Shit.
I haven't been this excited about a release list in years.
Thanks for the hard work, Nauren. Looks like I can hold out on buying a PS3 a little bit longer. XD

Yeah, lolnintendo. The Wii has been a waste of my money, pretty much.
The new social features being implemented into the 360 are very exciting for me, however, because I'll likely use them with friends. With Gears of War 2, Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero 4, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts, Geometry Wars 2, Galaga Legions (I loved what they did with Pacman C.E., it's addicting as hell,) Infinite Undiscovery, a new Star Ocean title AND Final Fantasy XIII coming to the system?
I have more to be excited about now than I have in years.
One of the 360's greatest "problems" is its lack of Roleplaying and adventure games. It's got a great selection of shooters and action games, but seeing severalhuge S-E titles coming to the system is a big deal.
I have never wasted as much time in arcade games as I have with Pacman C.E. and Geometry Wars, especially the latter. Hearing that a sequel may be published on XBL in the very near future is a huge deal for me, and the footage looks amazing.
Frankly, I think they only thing that would have made the Microsoft press release more exciting for me would have been if they had officially confirmed Guns of the Patriots was coming to the console (which it almost certainly will, eventually.) I'd give it more like an 8 / 10.

Well I played through Gears of War....it was overly "meh" to me so I'm not so excited about the sequal although I do think Cliffy B is the man. Generally I don't like most UE games..hopefully The Last Remnant fixes that.
XBL Arcade games are just to.....arcadish to me. I prefer PSN games for the length and complexity and no size caps! I mean come on...Ratchet and Clank for 15 bucks?!?! Thats an awesome download.
The 360 is establishing a nice huge RPG base (albeit only a couple good ones). Eternal Sonata was meh...Tales of Vesperia is meh...Blue Dragon sucked.....Lost Odyssey rocked and so will Infinite Undiscovery.
Super Stardust HD > Geometry Wars
And I was done with Street Fighter back when it was Street Fighter 2 Turbo Alpha Championship Edition part 14 Ultra vs Your Mom
Nothing...NOTHING....held a candle to Killzone 2. I'm calling it now.....best FPS....better then COD4 and I can't say that easily.

does it mean that it has no backward compatibility?

That's honestly one of the biggest reasons I'm holding out on the PS3. Backwards compatability is a hot issue for me, since my trusty PS2 bit the big one last year after several years of loyal service.
As for XBL Arcade games being too "Arcadey..." I have a vast RPG collection of PSX/PS2 titles, and I actually replay them.
I'd be interested in seeing an official answer to that as well.
As for XBL Arcade games being too "Arcadish..." that seriously depends. A lot of the available games have a surprising ammount of depth to them, with recent releases like Ikaruga and Soulcalibur coming to mind. Both are titles that have a distinct Arcade feel to them, but hold up extremely well under extended play sessions and give you reasons to keep coming back (though I'm disappointed everything is unlocked immedietly in Soulcalibur.)
As for Super Stardust HD vs. Geometry Wars, I have not played SSHD, and so I don't want to make a blanket comment on one being better than the other. I've heard arguments from both sides and it looks like a good game. As for "better than Geometry Wars," I'd say we would need to get into specifics. Graphically? Without a doubt. Geometry Wars has a very simple appearance, but it looks amazing in motion. The vector based graphics are a large part of its charm. From a gameplay standpoint? Certainly, Geometry Wars is more simple; but that ties right back into the 'arcade game' argument.
Regardless, there was something for everyone this E3. That's more than I can say for the last few that I've seen. Unless you own a Wii... it's going to be awhile before they release a game that makes me dust off mine.

lol keep in mind alot of my comments are sarcasm...so feel free to light them up with a rebuttle The new 80 gig will not have BC. it will be just as the 40 gig with a larger HD. BC I thought was a big deal to me...I really did and got a 60 gig for it...but I might have played maybe 4 to 5 PS2 games before ignoring it completely. Thats just how it worked for me. I still have a PS2 as well though.
