Testuya Nomura Character designer for FINAL FANTASY series since FF VII released said in the new Japanese Magazine "Dengenki" that :
"A big announce is preparing For Final Fantasy VII and It's not the Schuelded of FINAL FANTASY VII : Advent Children Complete ! "
For now take it as a grain of salt.....but still interesting.

Kitase confirmed that a big announcement for FF7 is coming at "DKΣ3713" which is late August. An insider said that it is NOT a remake...but something to be pleasantly surprised about.

I think square already replied to this, they said they will do a remake but only with the original crew. They are waiting until they are all free from their current projects, so it will be awhile.

Aye but if the inside source is correct...this isn't a remake. Possibly an addition to the compilation or a finale. |

its not..the big announcment was FFXIII demo on the Advent Children Blu-ray disk on march 9th.
