Who We Are: Origins
Edea's Orphans started out as a Final Fantasy XI Linkshell on the Titan server. We grew from a small social institution, to a large end-game force. After a long run, Markus, the leader, grew tired and decided to step down. Due to the way they are designed, FF linkshells cannot have ownership transfered. Thus Edea's Evolution was born, with Miruuk being selected from the leaders of EO to take the reigns. After a time, the linkshell started dwindling due to a variety of factors including loss of people's interest in the game, changes in people's lives that restricted game play time, and so on.
Around this time, EO WoW was born. A few members from EO/EE decided they wanted to still continue to play together, but for various reasons decided to do so in a new game. Tempus, now known as Nikodemos, (And damn whoever made it so I couldn't use my preferred name, give it back! -t) was selected to lead the new branch of Edea's Orphans in World of Warcraft, on the Fenris server. We have grown into a medium-large end-game force, just as we were in FF. We plan to try to do everything you can do in WoW, but at the same time we understand everyone has a life outside the game and don't want to see anyone have their job/relationship/etc affected by the game.
EO is about family and friends playing together to conquer challenges in virtual worlds and having fun together while doing so. While it may be relatively easy to find people to "beat the game" with, it's harder to find friends that you can genuinely care about as you play. We welcome you to our home on the internet, and hope you will stay and become one of the family.

We would like to take this opportunity to answer some frequently asked questions about EO WoW. For further information, please feel free to either speak to an officer in game, or PM them on these forums. - Do you have any class or level requirements?
- Do you have any age requirements?
- We ask you be 18+ please, unless a very close friend of a current member who can vouch for your maturity and how relaxed you are about certain topics.
- Our conversation can get sexually graphic at times, and cussing is allowed in moderation. Please be aware that we are not PG rated.
- However, we do not tolerate discrimination towards race, gender, sexual preference, nationality, religious beliefs or other sensitive issues.
- Our current member's range is anywhere from 16-40+
- Do you accept Twinks?
- Twinks are not our focus, nor is keeping a character eternally at a certain level. We encourage skill, not buying power. We are a raid focused guild.
- However, Twinks of current members are welcome.
- How big is the guild?
- We have 40+ people, some are more casual or "part-time" players.
- Most evenings and weekends we have 20-30 people on at any time.
- What is the guild focus or goals?
- PVE Raiding is our key focus
- Heroics
- Occasional Arena or Battlegrounds PvP
- PvP is not required, several members find doing things with friends to be a lot of fun, no matter if its PvE or PvP.
- Do I have to raid?
- EO's goals are end-game raid focused. If you do not want to raid with EO a few days a week, another guild will be a better home for you.
- Currently we average 3-4 25s and 1-4 10s raid evenings a week, this may change from time to time to allow progression.
- We will monitor attendance for the first month, new members who do not make a majority of raids will be asked to consider another guild.
- Can I raid with other guilds or pugs?
- If you wish to raid with another group, another guild would suit you better then EO.
- With that being said, we have rules regarding pugs, please see our loot system post for more specifics.
- What raiding responsibilities do members have?
- Make as many 25 man raids as you can, preferably 75% or more.
- 10 man raids are encouraged but not required.
- When choosing a 10 man group, stick with it, don't bounce between groups.
[/li][/ul] [/li][li] Be ready on time or note you will be late in Group Calendar. - Group Calendar is required for raid signups.
[/li][/ul] [/li][li] Show up in a PvE spec. - If your spec needs work, be prepared to change it.

[/li][li] What time do you Raid? - We have two regular 10 man groups with varying times, along with various alt/other runs.

Here in [EO] we strongly emphasize forum usage. We feel that if you at least casually check our forums several times a week, this can not only help our guild, but help yourself as well. It has been our observation over the last 3 years that people who at least casually check our forums tend to be more dedicated, helpful, and informed members. This being said, there is one rule for [EO] in regards to forum usage. - Minimal Forum usage is required to raid with [EO]
- You must check our Announcements section (section viewable by guild members) at least every other day to keep current on any important guild updates.
We don't require that you be a post-whore and post every day, but having a forum login and checking the important threads a couple of times a week is asked.
