Not playing a whole lot, I'm afraid.

I got married 2 years ago and having a wife cuts down on the game time, let alone MMOs lol. I reactivated my XI account late last year and played for a few months, but it just wasn't the same game as we remember.

Other than that, I'm just waiting for the new FFXIV to come around and give it a shot. Not sure if you remember him, but Merona has been bugging me to try it out lol.

Things are going well, I finished my MBA, received a couple promotions and now run the IS Security Program at work. Also picked up a few certifications and enjoy my job for the most part. I bought a house in Hamburg a couple years ago where I live with the girlfriend.

Yes, I remember Merona from ITV and him running end game shells. I might as well try FFXIV once I finish building my new PC, which should be sometime this month. I'm looking forward to Elder Scrolls Online as I loved Skyrim - by far my favorite console game since FFVI.

I reactivated my FFXI account late 2011 and played lightly for a couple months. There were only a couple people left I knew and like you said, it's a completely different game. Maybe see you in XIV!

I think a lot of the nostalgia factor FFXI had was to do with the people you played with. The game has actually greatly improved over the years, most noticeably with the Abyssea Addons. But the gaming community as a whole has been kind of poisoned by the wow mentality, especially with name changes and server transfers now available in FFXI. I'd just wait for 14, seems like it might turn out to be a good game.
