ok, i've got some sad news...
our website will have to be put on hold for a while. for some reason my computer won't run the java script that's required to launch page builder (the tool used by geocities to upload and create your site). seeing as i'm the picture happy one of this relationship, i cannot post the pictures from all of our latest linkshell activities. i also have tons of pictures of our various members. i'm trying to basically get some sort of living history of the shell.
at any rate, page builder will launch on broken's computer, but all of my pics are on my computer and, well, i'm too busy/lazy/annoyed to put them on a disk and move them to his computer.
at any rate, if anyone could fill me in on how to fix this problem that would be greatly appreciated. it won't even load the link, just a red X. i've tried updating windows, re-installing java, trying it on netscape (which i had to download just for this purpose), as well as other various ideas. please help you computer gods if you can!

like tempus said just host them somewhere and post them on here. rather that cuz someday i'm gonna go thru them all and make a new slideshow. cant wait to see them

p.s. java script blows. you may have it turned off. Im not exactly sure how to turn java scripts back on but you could check your internet options and poke in there. plus if you use java script and anyone on EO has it turned off we wont see your pics anyway.

i've got too many pictures to post on here. just trust me. the ones on the site are just the tip of the iceburg. besides, i like setting up the site, i have fun with it. but thanks for the input and i'll check out turning it back on (if it is indeed off - i've looked, but still can't figure it out).
ok, back to evidence and admissability *vomits*

Hey guys, looks good!
Any luck with this? If you're using IE, add the URL you're at on pagebuilder to your trusted sites list (tools / Internet Options / Security / Trusted Sites) - this should rule out any security issues.
If you're still getting javascript errors, it's probably because you need to upgrade your JVM. Go to java.com and click the free download on their homepage. This should also take care of any security issues if you're using Microsoft's JVM.
As far as safety of allowing javascript to run, it's nowhere near the threat ActiveX is... Just keep your browser/OS patched and java up to date and you shouldn't be vulnerable to any common malware that exploits javascript (bytever, etc.).

thanks for the suggestions man, we'll give em a whirl. we've tried alot of things, even reinstalling java runtime environment 5.0 just hope to get it fixed soon to get all of our pictures up. we really do have tons right now. and thanks for the compliments everyone :-) Fly really does all the work. I just come along in game and pose for the pictures  |
