Well, the wife wants a Wii for Xmas. Anyone have one that can give me some input??? How well do the remotes work??? Its selling like hotcakes so I suppose the whole motion thingy(like swinging a golf club) works well? Any input is appreciated. Thanks -Plague

I have had one for 6 months and it is great. They are great exercise and a good way to hang out with the family. They just need to make more games. If you get one and dont like it,sell it. you can double your money.

I have a Wii. The Legend of Zelda is an amazing game...
Wii sports, which comes pre packed with the System, provides hours upon hours of fun while you learn Wii basics. You will probably want to buy extra remotes right off the bat (remotes have 2 parts and they are sold separately last I checked...)
A huge factor imo is your playing space... You need room. If you don't have it, gaming can feel a little more annoying and tedious as opposed to just fucking fun.
As for price value... Wii is the least expensive most innovative next generation system out there...
PS3 > all imo though...

We would smoke or drink and play a lot of the Golf... Idk why, but we just loved it. Add the intoxication... I am talking literally rolling on the bed laughing my ass off lol.... The tennis and boxing WILL make you sweat...
Idk, fun system if you have a big room, sack of chronic, a keg and a couple of friends... Ok, even without the dope and drinks, it is still fun. I bought Tiger Woods golf. Seriously, I really enjoyed it...
Other cons... White remotes get dirty really easy. I was constantly washing them, I can't stand it.

I've had one a few days after it came out. It's great actually. Provides a workout in some games like Rayman and Wii Sports. The controller is pretty good, but will take a while to get use to shooting games. You can use a gamecube controller for some games like DBZ Budokai and the upcoming Smash Brothers Brawl. You can make yourself in the game. It's called a "Mii" character, and you are able to use him in Wii Sports and Wii Play. Nintendo always provides u with a few channels like the everybody votes channel, check mii out, internet channel, and the virtual console. The virtual console lets u download lots of classic games like Xbox live. (Xbox live is better) That's really it. If you don't mind playing games where you actually have to exercise to play, it's worth it. Although, a few games you are able to avoid the "exercise."

I love my Wii, my bro got me one when we met up in the Philippines after I was done with my semester abroad in Oz. We got it modded so we can play ripped games, and I gotta say -- Zelda, Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition, Wii Sports, and Wario Ware are so much fun. I have probably 17 games for it I think. Prince of Persia is pretty good, and so are the Call of Duty's. Big Brain Academy is fun. Shit, its all fun. Just buy one.
