My life as I know it is over the second that game hits shelves.
If World of Starcraft were ever to be released I'd probably just hand in my penis since sex would no longer be necessary.

Supposedly, they're in the early phases of drafting a new MMO franchise seperate from WoW. They have claimed several times in the past that they have no intentions of revisiting the Diablo franchise (yeah, that's what they said about Starcraft 10 years ago. Give it time and they'll eventually milk it,) which pretty much leaves Starcraft, some of their obscure, earlier console titles (Rock'n'Roll Racing Online?) or... a brand new IP they're developing.
Time will tell.
World of Warcraft -may- have finally hit its apex, but they've made such an obscenely large sum of money off of its newest cash cow that they can afford to do pretty much whatever they want. Which is awesome. Because, as everyone knows, when Blizzard does what it wants, great games happen.

Have they decided on a release date? I want to beat Jon in those special map games like FF or w/e... Use Map settings or w/e... I forget what they call it...

Blizzard probably won't announce a release date for sometime, and they are terrible about meeting those dates when it comes to games like this, but at least you know that the final copy has been polished off 100x and is really frickin spiffy!

I forget what they call it... like bridger said Blizzard is horrible with release dates. hell look at startcraft: ghost. made release date after relase date (till ultimatle cancled tho) but they also did that to the Diablo 2 v1.10 patch when i used to play. mark- its Use Map Settings games. i used to pwn at them =P

Blizzard releases when they're ready to release, and they could care less about outside pressure stating they should do otherwise.
While it's frustrating to the fanboys who get tired of seeing it pushed back constantly, the faithful are eventually rewarded with some of the most highly refined game-play experiences around in the business.
Blizzard makes Blizzard games, and nothing else comes close... be it RTS unit balance or constantly delayed release dates.
On a seperate note, I loved UMS games from starcraft, and was actually an author myself...
I never got into the map editor for WCIII, but I'm kind of excited to see what kind of development tools they'll release this time around.
