Man i tell you ive played alot of RPGs but this one is a classic. The story is great, the characters are entertaining and the gear battles are breathtaking. Its definately one of those games where you look at it and say WOW. if any of you havent played it yet id seriously recomend trying to find a copy and tryin it out. Believe me you wont be disappointed. ;D

ive never played Xenosaga but i heard it was a pretty big dissapointment compared to xenogears.

Xenosaga I've played a both 1 & 2, I love these games, but this is more on the idea of Complete CGI story and background more then game play.
I was a bit upset that the rpg is alittle weak on the world and exploring, but the fighting is still very cool.
But the Icying on this Cake is the Story line..
Tad bit of history, Xenogears was taken from this story line cause is had a simple but limited story. thats what SE was thinking when it was made.
In the reality truth Xenogears is basicly game 5 in the series of 6.
Which means a remake will be coming soon.
Now that Bandai and Namco merged. there might be a change to the play of these games in 4,5,6. 3 has been created alrdy. >.<;
just a bit of info.

I heard xenosaga was great... maybe i'll ait till i can pick it up for 15 bucks used =P Xenogears was easilly the best non FF rpg ive ever played, short of vagrant Story. Coincidentaly all 3 are made by square. How can a company that does this shit so right make so many annoying mistakes in their MMO? and does anyone else get the vibe that theyre giving up on it in some ways? "We're not planning a release for PS3, or a requel to FFXI. We're developing an entirely new MMORPG" What ever happened to the line "Let's just be friends?"

The "word" is the Xenosaga will end on the third (3rd) installment. Even though the orgainal plan was to do the entire story, 1-6, Xenogears being the 5th, but, because of the lack luster selling and reception of 1 & 2, 3 will end the story. Entill enough fans scream about it.
It may make a final push to be finished ala Valkire Profile.
Be a great game/series, be a cult hit, wait a few years, maybe a platform upgrade, have somebody with a mind finish the series...
I WANT TO KNOW WHO/WHAT/WHEN/WHERE/WHY/HOW KAIN/FEI ... ... grrr.

Xenosage 1
Nothing really, this game is based solely on Story like, the CGI EMO incredable, but some can argue thats theres to much, its something like this..
Opening Cut Sceen.
play for about 5min
Cut Screen
Play an event.
Cut Screen
ect. ect.
until u get to the near end where they unlock the game areas for exploring.
I would have to say there is about 2hrs of Cut Screens and about 50hrs of play time, lvl chrs, items, ect.
Xenosage 2
Follows alot above, but continued storyline and even more CGI
all improved.
but the world on this is more open for exploring, and alot of Sub-quest you can do.
If part 3 comes I'm buying it. I enjoy this purly for the storyline. nothing more. if thats something that you into this is a gmae for you.

What was so wrong with the first and seccond? People didn't want that much Cutscenes, or, that's seems to be the common consent. There was also a problem with changing the battle system. Some people loved the 1st, some hated it, and the same can be said for the 2nd. The 3rd is suppose to fix the "problems" of the first two games. |
