OMG! I should have never bought this game. I played it for 20 hours stright! I played while camping Joyeuse... I'm currently playing as a Monk. Some reason, the game wants me to put my stats into Stealth... meh. I'll have to start over so I don't ruin my char... again.
Anybody else ever play this game?

The intro does take a bit, but you have to know what you're doing in order to live later on. I learned the hard way to SAVE YOUR GAME almost ever time I go to open a door...
Its hard though, going from a MMORPG that you don't save your data, to a game where you have too.. its different

Ok, don't buy this game if you like FFXI. I stayed up intill 4 am playing this... and still wanted to play more >< *so tired*
Woke, started to play. Showered, shaved, played... *sleep~*
I still want to play... I'm at work thinking about how to complete the quest's I'm on, and what skills/feats I should get next.
GAH!

I got many quality hours of enjoyment out of Neverwinter Nights and its two expansions. By the time I was done, my level 40 Sorcerer could clear a large room by himself with Hellball. And then use Greater Ruin to destroy whatever was left. XD
Very fun game; an excellent way to go about D&D in a video game fashion.

O.O nice. I'm working on my lvl 9 Monk. Just beat chapter 1. I'm not sure if I should take a henchmen with me or not... I think she'll mess up my exp. But, having a cure handy could save me life.

I'm an old school pen and paper D&D player, and remember importing and tweaking a city into the Neverwinter Nights toolset. It's a very nice program that we would have loved back in the day. By the time I stopped the project I had the sewer's massive maze complex populated, and ready for a trial run. The sewer itself spanned 9 area grids I believe, and was chock full of goodies for the extended dungeon crawler. The game itself is great in my opinion. Sadly my original CD got lost before xpacs came out, and was unable to continue with the game. Sorcerer's were always way to powerful if you could manage to survive the lower levels. Though if I remember correctly at higher levels in the new D&D system Monks are godly.

Sorcerer's were always way to powerful if you could manage to survive the lower levels. Though if I remember correctly at higher levels in ffxi Monks are godly. fify fify? I don't get it.... but, Monks could almost always end up being god like if you build them right. after lvl 20. only other "God like" attacks could hurt you. Then you could regerate that health back next turn, then attack. But, I might have to start my Monk over again... The game suggests that I put skills into Hide/move sightly... Thats all good if I don't want to kill everthing I see... but, I want to kill everthing~ so, I think I'm wasting my skills. They (the game) also "recommneds" Parrying skill. Again, a waste imo. Now, what do I put my skills into? Any real suggestions?

I bought it when it was first released. Played for a day, then ended up putting it up on ebay the next day because the store wouldn't take it back.
I dunno, I never could get into it. Didn't help that the graphics kinda sucked too even back in its day.
