I Am Legend
Based on the book written by Richard Matheson this movie deals with a man coping with a world without his loved ones or people. It is sort of a quasi vampire movie. The book was written long before ideas about genetic engineering were possible. I’ve read the screenplay and thought it had great potential. I was not sure about the casting of Will Smith but after seeing this trailer I expect good things from this movie.

Live Free or Die Hard
No other movies to justice to the action genre like the Die Hard franchise does. Don’t expect anything less from this movie, even more over the top stunts and explosions that only John Mclaine can pull off. This will hopefully be the final installment of Die Hard. After years of crappy action movies look to this one to refresh the genre.

Paprika
This movie looks amazing… I love the quote they use in it to describe the difference between Japanese animators and Americans… It is from the same director that brought you Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress and Tokyo God Fathers. I can’t wait to see this in the theatres… the general synopsis is: A Doctor in psychology uses a machine to jump into the dreams of her patients to help them.

Transformers
Now a lot of people have been talking crap about transformers and Michal Bay… I’d agree that Michal Bay has made some shitty directing choices but he has it in him to turn this thing into a decent film (I really enjoyed the movie “The Island”). I will take this film on its own and not try to compare it to Transformers cartoon or any other previous format of the series… if anything it will be a decent mindless action flick. Ah shit who am I kidding its gonna be awesome!

Sunshine
This film was directed by Danny Boyle… the same guy that brought you Trainspotting, The Beach and 28 days later. Its going to be a sci-fi thriller about the crew’s journey to the sun and they come across the first mission that failed.

The Signal
This movie is based off the Stephen King short story… it is essential about a signal that turns people into living zombies that are driven to spread the signal and are crazy and violent. The trailer really doesn’t show you much so I don’t know if this is going to be hit or miss. Its been getting decent reviews from sundance.
