So, what do you want to buy with the bank? ;-) note: Tempus doesn't want to have to take all the effort of doing all the calculations necessarry to provide an accurate figure. He can't log on, look at gil, and say that's what it is. He has to log on and make a whole bunch of subtractions and additions from outstanding pay outs and gil. So before he has to take effort of calculating it, he asks Aerya what the plan is again. Easier for Aerya to say his plan than for Temp to calculate the balance.

the thread goes on and on about the exact balance isn't known or calculated, and people keep asking Aerya his plan. Aerya keeps insisting to know the balance first. Aerya Imoh and Bale chyme in with Aerya wondering why the balance can't be known. Eventually Tempus calculates the balance, and the gil is put on a different mule to facilitate looking up the balance in the future. Mark posts SS of the gil and Krazi's signed vermy which the bank purchased. (Is this the 10m ppl talk about that is missing? The 10m which is the vermy?) Eventually Aerya posts his plan. He was a good sport about it too:

I am sickened by the mere thought of Aerya lying to people to get them to see things from his side. But then again if anyone was lied to or mislead I can't blame them for falling for it. After all, they certainly took the SH for fools.

And if ANYONE has credibility, I would hope I do. More than just an SH, I spend time helping everyone. I probably spend more time with members regardless of who they are, how much they help out or anything. If someone asks for help and I'm available I'll offer to help. No matter what.

Extreme Challenge! They had this one event where lots of money was hidden under large piles of fertilizer, and whoever found the pile with the money in it won, and got to eep the cash. In the END there was only one winner, but every one of them smelled like shit. That's basically what FFXI drama is. It didn't git me till i read morbid's post that i realized, im in the same boat he is in a way. Aerya i knew from a long time back. and TFB was the one who convinced me I'd be happy here in EO. With both of these people gone, guess i should leave too... nah. Could be because im a coward and i fear change. or because I want to be noble and opt to sink with the captain rather than jump on the first life boat.

I won't deny that despite my greatest efforts, i often get the feeling that i am, and always will be one of the outsiders. As someone who wasnt here when the shell formed i suppose it comes with the territory. But i stay i think because I dont want to be one of the many people who got to where they are by using those around them as stepping stones. As long as EO is still here this stupid argument and its outcome wont mean a thing and will fade in time. Yeah... s'pose its a good time to come farm if nothing else, to show my support, but alaz, this is the weekend of my 1 yr anaversary with the o'le ball and chain. Just some comments:

1. It's nice to see the details of what happened posted here. Given the tenure and contributions of those who quit, I think it's right that all members have a chance to see what went down and draw their own conclusions. I also think it's a positive thing that both sides are represented in the discussion.

2. I believe bank balance should be public knowledge. You can compare EO members to corporate shareholders, but they're much more than that - the members are your earners...hell, they're the sole reason for EO's existence. Publicly held companies are required to publish all their financial information to prevent corruption. If EO's assets are "kept secret", suspicions will arise and fingers will be pointed - it's only natural. I don't think payouts should be confidential either. All the data must be in a spreadsheet anyways, so it shouldn't be a hassle to post. By hiding this information, it will only cause problems. Mark mentioned posting screenshots and such, and maybe a decision to be more public about the bank has already been made, I don't know.

3. When someone quits a linkshell, they're generally not going to be completely honest about why they left in a public forum or with the officers. Unless it's simply due to playtime reduction. Reason #1 is people have a tendency to get sick of Tulia pretty quickly after receiving their god gear.

4. Things like this are a fact of FFXI. For most people, linkshells are not a lifetime. Right or wrong, it's just the way it is. EO will continue to thrive and advance if the officers want it to - and you can bet they do.

Well after swearing i would never post again after i was basically told to shut up the last time i posted i feel compeled that i need to address a few things. Of course looking at it from the sidelines view, not in the heat of battle view.

1. For you to think that Aerya had any intentions prior to asking bank balance is completely obsurd.... Aerya was asking due to the fact that others were asking, not for the fact that he wanted to screw anyone over. Aerya's intentions were for all the EO members not for any other reason. Moral in the past month or more has not been very good, and aerya was trying to bring that up to best suit everyone EO not just the SHs.

2. People have brought up the fact that the bank Balance should have been public from the beginning. This is never a good thing as Locke put it so nicely to hide. This alone was enough to cause some to be suspecious, whether anything was wrong or not . .hiding something always makes it look bad.

3. Wether some of you want to look beyond everything that has happend and really take a look at some things is where all this needs to go, and with that here AS A MEMBER not a SH i tell you what i see and what others tell me that needs to be addressed.
A. You can not AND I REPEAT CAN NOT call people names like Moran, Stupid, Idiot and expect them to be happy about this. You can NOT as a SH call people name and degrade them in front of others and expect them to be happy. This issue has been addressed several times to several SH's with pleas gone unheard as to changing this. SH's Response to this "That is just the way he/she is".
B. I know you have addressed the issue that you want all members to attend every single event that is held, if not they get a /tell from SH's asking why they are not there.. Well for some jobs they spend in upwards of 250 K per Farming run for supplies. and with some of those runs not yielding them even 1/8 of their gil in return, not to mention that fact that they work a full time job and have a limited amount of time to farm to get the gil to come to events. This issue not only effects my family issues but others as well. <dont want you to think i am addressing this issue soling based on me>
And then when they do come and they so happen to die while trying to look for a NM that is up ? and their crys for a raise goes unanswered for 15 min to 32 members in shell, till finally they HP and leave farming. Then get 3 points taken away for leaving ? How is this going to help keep moral up and to make them feel they are actually wanted.
C. I have met 3 people in the last 3 months that are in EO and in Particle or another HNMLS .. and i am told "he/she is an exception" he has known a SH for a long time....... WTH is that ? Fair to the rest that were thrown without even a talk first from EO cuz they were caught with another HNMLS on ? I am not the only one that has seen this issue and has felt that the situation is not right at all.
D. There are some people in EO that are constantly making sexual inuendos towards others.. play is play but at some point it gets to the point of sickening and harassing to be honest.. This issues is clear and can be seen by all members of EO in LS, this should be addressed without members having to come and say something and feeling embarassed.
E. And the issue of Racism, in recent months has come up. Things being said that just should not be said in LS .. That is the reason they have LAWS about these things, not to mention the fact that it really offends and hurts people.

When you have LS that is this large all these issues need to be addressed and some of them completely not tolerated instead of being told to shutup this is just the way he/she is.


There are a many other issues that should of been addressed in recent months as they happen, but i am just giving you a few of the things i have seen and have heard from other members.

So to think that the issues was solely that IMO or Aerya or whoever else Screwed over the LS is completely unfounded. Think back at conversations that you had with people, things that should of been addressed then and there and never were. Hell .. I must of sent /tells to several SH's trying to address an issue, where you can clearly see them talking in LS but completely Ignored me in /tells ?
That will not fix any problem by ignoring people.

About calculating bank balance: do you guys need help with calculating this or do you have problem solved? This isn't rocket science, you ( or if you need I ) can draw up an excel doc which list ppl's names, amount you owe them, and subtracts amount from however much is on SeeDbank currently. (if seedback changes, you update that number).

You can go further and get points involved, and updated the points will update amount owed. It would take work, but when setup gives bank balance in 2 seconds and needs updating 1x/month.

IDK the specifics of how you guys track everything, if you need help, let me know, if you got it, np I trust you to handle it.
