PCat, you have the very old [EO] philosophy that no matter what happens, we stick together and make it work. Fight one day, talk about it the next. It is that philosophy that turned this social LS into a LS that does (almost) it all...
In my life (real life) I have fought and argued with countless people... This game mimics life... Unfortunately not everyone has the same philosophy as me/us...
And in other instances things were said that shouldn't have been said at all and it is hard to fix that...

Treat members with equality? I know that many of us felt pushed out and unequal because of actions initiated by you Aerya. So, if your actions here reflect those which will lead the next ls, there's no equality there. There's no objectivity. I feel much more equal now. Perhaps you didn't know this was an issue? Well, I suppose this is when I can let you know that. I thought we had anonymous SH evaluations to cover some of this? I thought perhaps bank handling, morale issues, and unhappiness could be handled equally with just a /tell to a sackholder. To maintain equality I would /tell sackholders with big problems I had that really had no personal connection with me. Things were handled well, I thought. I knew what to expect from most SHs. I also knew what to expect from you Aerya, that many of us would take the backseat to some of those you hand-picked. Yah, I lived with it, I wasn't happy about it. But please don't spread KoS as the land of opportunity and equality if you don't really mean that. If you do lead KoS with a better sense of equality, then good for you and the members of KoS. Aerya, you're a good player and very helpful, but there was no equality from you, that's a charade.
The next thing is that you said the members that will return to EO will be forgiven. Forgiven for what? That implies that leaving your ls would be treachery of some kind. If people left this ls, it's not necessarily treachery. I wouldn't expect to have to forgive them, because nothing has been done wrong. The way in which you leave defines whether or not it is treachery. I wouldn't think somebody deciding to come back to a LS that worked so hard together to get where they are would be considered treachery.
So, if I have misunderstood what you wrote, then please correct me.
To all others, don't reply to this post until you have read Aerya's post from the other, locked, thread.
I'm not trying to start drama, but I do feel that my personal feelings regarding the situation should be expressed since it's more fair if we all really know what we think of each other.

Well i have read a good portion of this thread but it has gotten to the point where its just similar stuff over and over. I just wonder if we can get a list of members that quit (or perhaps members that stayed) because it is no fun checking someone out and seeing a different LS listed.
It is unfortunate to see a group as close knit as EO fall apart. While i wasnt very close with some of the departing people, I did have friendships with others and I would like to say that i still consider them my friends. If i am ever wandering thru a cave as WHM and see a familiar corpse with a strangly colored pearl, you can bet your ass ill be raising them.
It is ashame that things had to transpire the way that they did, because now instead of one powerful LS working on moving into Sea and beyond, we have 2 LSs that will have to begin to rebuild. Hopefully we do not have too much work ahead of us, but whatever lies ahead, so be it.
Good luck to those that have left and hopefully what happened between the SHs does not affect your feelings towards me personally, because at the end of the day, FFXI is just a game and even tho i wish I was in person as Badass as Batteryacid is in game, I cant firaga3 the douchebag that cuts me off or stun someone before they say bad things about my mama. Plz remember however, even tho it is a game, you shouldnt say anything here or in game that you wouldnt be prepared to say face to face to someone.

hmm I believe this is a constructive critic, so I decided to reply, but correct me if I´m wrong or explain to me better, when I was unequal or not fair as u stated?
I can think of one or 2 situations
dynamis pulling pt, I used to put lady on it cause she´d come over to my place and we´d play together, so when I was running low on hp I´d say I´m coming running from the northeast corner, need a healing, or I´d watch her screen to see if it was clear enough to pull
sometimes we don´t have time to autorun and type that kind of info, and ya, it was pretty useful, unequal cause I can´t have everyone come to my place so I can say to them what I need instead of typing, but very useful
and hmmm maybe trying to get lady into god pts, cause I felt she was one of the most prepareds rdms there, sorry but rdms using mana rings are not well prepared... and during maybe 4 months she participated in sky runs, she got put in the main alliance twice, one time cause I wanted to try ES + silence on suzaku cause we were short on rdm/drks and the other time cause morbid invited her, and I remember an annonimous complain about that
about me hand picking... I never formed allianced but twice in dynamis, and I picked them by jobs and afinity, tried to put the ones who were closer together
it is kind of a surprise that u think of me like that, cause u were one fo the reasons I felt safe about coming to sky as thf, after that talk we had, I thought u did a pretty good job picking your gear, although sometimes u´d equip something that I´d make me go "aww man, come on" lol
if u felt I was excluding u, sorry, but I never played any of that cards, u may be blaming the wrong person, but then again I may not be seeing where exactly u´re trying to say
and about the forgivines part, I didn´t write that, was a friend of mine, but it was a comment about what markus said

I fought the urge too >.<;; When you have 6+ RDM at an event and your on healing duty, arent MP+ gear basically your "best possible equip"? Last time i checked, +Mnd didn't do much if anything to cure as a rdm. But i stop there... +1 corran lol.
