What did you guys think about the movie?
Honestly, it wasnt' my favorite for the following reason

Killing Cyclops in the first 2 minutes of the movie, let alone having it be by Jean Grey? WTF? Jean would never harm Cyclops, even as Phoenix, as a long time fan of the comics, that was B/S. Also, killing Prof X. FU script writer. You can kill 1 or 2 of these ppl, but not both w/o a good storyline. The best thing about the first 2 movies, is that there was a plot going on which I was unaware of until the very end. In this last movie, there was no question what the plot was. "Oh, they are gonna fight over this, the thing they talked about first 2 miin into the movie, there was no suspense, no developed characters, nothing. Take for example one of Beast's last lines starts quoting a guy then says ".... oh you get the point". Um, no we don't, as I can't remember him quoting anyone before hand to have given me the impression of what the hell the character was talking about. And WTF is up with all these mutants whose names they didn't even mention. I.E. - Multiple Man. Christ, at least name the sob and have him be introduced, so we have some mild intrest in who the hell the character is as opposed to "Joe Smoe who had this power". They could have made the whole "The Dream lives on W/O Xavier" storyline, but kinda failed, IMO.

First Movie Rating = 9.8 outta 10
Second Movie Rating = 10.0 outta 10.0
The first 2 were so awsome and the last one, IDK, was lacking in a plot. Effects were cool, design cool, put really lacked in plot and character development. Tried to cram to many new characters into 1 movie IMO. This is what happens when you bring on a new director for the last of the trilogy and just hand him a script.
Just so this is said, do not let my feelings deture you from seeing the movie. Some people really liked it, go, please go and form your own opinion and tell me how you felt about it (If you give away spoilers, please post in black font onry). I saw an ad in the Newspaper trying to bash them before the movie was seeable, i'm all "FU, I've waited a long time to see this, your newspaper is crap for having published this before I could see it for myself". I now have had it with my newspaper lol.

Overall I have to say that I liked the movie, but honsetly their was very litle chance I wouldnt like it. I have been a comic book kid forever so any change to see something I used to read so frequently brought to life is just great in my book. I do wish that they had followed some of the comic story lines more closely, but it was still a very entertaining movie and totally worth my admission. My major beef with the movie though was the total lack of action involving one of my favorite characters ever... Colossus, sadly all he got to do was throw wovlerine a few times. All in all though i recomend it to anyone who was ever into the x-men.

Bah. It was good but could of been better... They rushed it! Should of made at least 2 more movies... Not force it all into the 3... So many discrepencies from what I know as well...

Thats what i heard. His was the final XMEN, but wolverine, storm and the like may get their own movie, villans etc. I recall most did have a spinoff in the comics too. The one and onyl thing i absolutely cant stand though is Cyclobs. These movies destryed him. First he was cool, but overall he sucked. Seccond he got his ass beat left and right. Third... well... In the comics and even the cartoon he was badass, the movies made him weak.

Yeah they were step brothers.
I was pretty disappointed with what they did with Cyclops too. 1st movie they did him well. 2nd movie he got his ass kicked and then barely appeared. 3rd movie, well I think we all know about that.

They made everything that Jean Grey did amazing. The effects in this movie and the battle were awesome. Okay here's what sucks for me: Wolverine is not the focus of my life, he's not even my favorite. Somebody please quit making him the favorite mutant -- I'm getting tired. And if he is your favorite, why can't you give another mutant a try? What about Rogue's future storyline? How about how she got the shaft in this movie? Iceman = 10x cooler (no puns) than he was in the other ones. Well, anyways... my rankings now instead 1st movie: 7.5/10 (snore) 2nd: 10/10 (like my favorite movie in the whole world) 3rd: 8/10. Yes, yes, no plot, they gave it away, but everything in this movie was badass. They did a piss poor job explaining mutant classification and expanding newly introduced characters. What in the fuck was the crazy lady from Season 4 of 24 doing as the mad professor? Well, so yes, it's a reserved OMG YOU HAVE TO SEE IT. I felt much more strongly about the n00bs that didn't see Episode 3 than if you wanna skip this movie. |

Trying to avoit spoilers but with people laughing/claping and screaming "Oh SNAP!" at the worst possible times, i completely missed the scene where Xavier was teaching his clas and brings that hospital photo up. Which brings me to my next question... Did anyone watch the scene hidden after the credits, and understand it? I think i got the jist of it but because i didnt hear what was said durring the movie it prolly would have made more sense.

Rogue has an awesome story, probably one of the best... What I have seen/read is Magneto gets her to touch Marvel Woman. Rogue learns how to fly, gets super strength, etc...
Wolverine is bad ass, simple as that. They focus too much on Jean... Cyclops, field leader of the X Men barely played a role... etc, etc
All I can say is I want more!

Also, I think this thread should be put somewhere under password or something so we can openly talk about it, without spoiling the movie. Cause I have alot I want to say.
and btw: they fucked up Psylocke worse then any other character. Fucked up Quill pretty bad, and Arclight bad too.

I saw the scene after the credits. You had to take note of the Xavier teaching his class on Ethics and the funeral scene with the person sitting far left next to all the main characters in the front row.
I like the movie. I want more comic movies! I can't wait for Superman!
