EO was made almost two years ago on the night of June 22nd. I am proud to be wearing the same Pearlsack, from the same Linkshell bought that night from Port Windurst for ~8k which Mark, Fel and I pooled our gil together for. I chipped in the least ; ; lol.
We got together and brainstormed for names that night, flipping through old FF magazines when in FFVIII Magazine the page entitled "Edea's Orphanage" caught our eye. We contemplated, we thought about it. We knew we wanted an FF related name and we knew we wanted a green pearl. Our previous MMO all of our characters were FF names with the last name Kinneas. (10 gil for who knows where Kinneas name is taken from.)
I am proud, to almost two years later, be wearing that same Sack from that same Shell. EO is a legacy in every way. The good times, the hard times. From when we'd have six people on at max during prime times. This was our first downfall - summer ended and we lost a lot of people who quit game for school as well as a lot of members left for the then new hot thing - ITV.
we progressed from then. Majority of members must have been in the 40s during this time. We ascended and evolved, passed through genkai and af. Our numbers grew. Soon we'd hit 64/64 a couple of times. It was incredible to take a look at what EO became and it's hard to believe what it came from.
This is another bump in the road. EO will get through it and over it. Friendships can never be replaced But tanks and mages can.
I just want to say... <3 EO. And I hope you're willing to continue to be a part of the this great thing. Our path has been long and hard, but more rewarding and satisfying.
I'm not going anywhere. Markus isn't going anywhere. Tempus isn't going anywhere (unless you bribe me, then I might be able to work something out ) (Seriously, I want to take this oppurtunity to give you props Temp - you're often looked at as the bad guy - but you care about EO just as much as the next person, and even at times when it seems you're an asshole, people just have to realize it's because you care and it's your way of doing things. Nobody better ever doubt the amount of commitment you put into EO and how you have nothing but good intentions for EO. It's a shame you've become our Scapegoat. But we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for your perseverence - /kneel.) Krazi's not going anywhere. Miruuk isn't going anywhere. Itachisasuke isn't going anywhere. Xaero isn't going anywhere. Beren isn't going anywhere. None of us are going anywhere.
EO isn't going anywhere. EO will always be there. <3 EO. Thank you, all of you, anyone who has ever dawned a pearl, regardless of whether or not you dawn that pearl anymore - thank you for two amazing years of memories.
I look forward to two more years with the people whom I've grown so close to.
Thank you EO.
P.S... I'm done feeling bitter. The initital shock is over. Look, to make amends:
I searched far and wide, and Ash is a pretty good biker... But I got your bike back Aerya ; ;
