If you want to play in January I'd reactivate now(with the abyssea DLC) and at least start the abyssea and voidwatch quests so that you start generating stones. You use stones as entry fee items for both things and these stones regenerate at 1 per day.

So you'll have a month of stones built up, not a lot, but more to work with than nothing lol. Both Abyssea and VW pretty key in getting gear at lvl cap.
