So today, Jonathan, Melime, Fluffnstuff, Sirlancealot, and Judgejacobs got Charybdis! Jon had been camping it since about 10am that morning since we were there and had tried to help kill the previous pop, which had been claimed afterwards by some real a-holes who's whm didn't even offer to give R2s. We had joined forces with some JPs and Hispanos (ls) members. Afterwards, the Hispanos people stayed around and talked with us a little.
This afternoon I came on and went to help with the kill, but Chary being late, Ody and Megosh left, but about a mintute afer I got to the pop room, Chary popped (pun intended?)!
Three members of the Hispanos ls were there from the night before, and Jon had been escaped and went to Norg. Jon quickly got some lovely volunteers (mentioned above, I love you all), who all quickly hurried to the pop room.
Just as some reinforcements came to help the Hispanos (one being Felina who is in HappyLS), those of which who would DEFINATELY have wiped with their setup, in ran in EO, who buffed like they were chainspelling and claimed chary. One of the pops started attacking their ls, but JJ started attacking it so I had to sleep it, and proceeded to get /slapped, name-calle (in Spanish), and rudely emoted to. Ignoring them, we went about taking down Chary, everyone doing an amazing job! I kept the add slept and away from the party, and kept up with enfeebling and refreshing.
Here's where it all went wrong: While attending to my RDM duties, our add had gone in the yellow. I didn't really think anything about it, until the other ls decided to cast DIA on it and let it take us out. From there the whole thing was a struggle. I was constantly having to recast stoneskin as well as keep the add away from the WHMs and party so as not to let it link to Chary. They continued to keep dia casted on it as we struggled, eventually having it take out poor Fluff, and lead to the death of Lance..
But, being the uber players that we are, we finished off Chary and the add, and I got my level back from losing it last night.
The point of this post? To first of all point out how great the people in this ls are.. but also to warn you about adds. If you get a link fighting anything, unless you really trust the other people there, do not let it go in the yellow, keep it claimed! ... especially if you've worked up enough hate with sleep IIs to keep it on you for a while. I think I was just naiive about this before.. I honestly never thought people were like this about rightful claims. Now I know.
Thank you again all who helped! I think Fluff got a ss of that bastard Yamadro casting Dia.. the only other people I remember are Atlacatl, tphantom, and tonatosdaemon or something like that. Be aware... of EO!
