They shoulda merged Pheonix onto titan imo. I think titan was older.
Hopefully the merger gives us more people to play with those odd times we go back to 11 lol.

Titan was one of the original 20 servers, with server ID #02. It was lit up 5/16/02 - almost made it to 9 years old!
It's sad that if I went back it would not be on Titan. Pretty sure I won't, but it just wouldn't be the same. It would not be the same Jeuno and Bastok where my char grew up.
I wonder how much Lavish is going to pay the Lavish on Phoenix to get his name back?

Btw Locke Kyuoto was asking about you yesterday lol.
FF11 is actually turning out to be a pretty damn good game (even more-so than before). I haven't played since December, but even back in December the improvements they were making were bad ass. I've been keeping up on their updates here and there, looks like the new director is doing a bang up job.
As the level cap reaches 99 the old frustrating restrictive limitations on the game are getting whittled away.

They're making it more accessible to the people who dont have mega hours to play too Clebby. Though there is SO MUCH CRAP TO DO you can easily get lost in it now.

I'd play but the graphics seem so bad :/ But yea, I miss FFXI too. We should log in and get some newb sky access ^^

You get used to the old graphics.
There are ways to mod the game for high rez but... I think they are taxing on the computer.

I miss it too. Yesterday I found myself listening to the music from Gustaburg and Jeuno...and I seriously got a little choked up. I think the changing of the season gets some of us a little more nostalgic about stuff than usual. Unfortunately the reality is there's no going back. What we long for no longer exists. Vana'diel is old, and the passion and curiosity we once shared cannot be recreated. I always wondered how I would look back on my time investment in FFXI. I reflect very positively and consider my experiences on Titan some of the most exciting and memorable times I've ever had. The social aspects of FFXI were amazing for a video game. I can look through old screen shots and easily remember hundreds of people and stuff I did with them. Good times, for sure. So who's up for a reunion tour? |
