Marc was one of ED's charter members and first officers. He was smart though, and quit FFXI after playing for two months

Edit: here's Marc unlocking DRG with some guy named Dragonbane. This picture always jumped out at me because Marc's character looks VERY Amano (the ff series artist) for some reason, like he just showed up and painted Marc's face in this image.
