While writing an essay on computers' impact in medicine...
I just tried to spell anasthesia (i still can't spell it right!) by hitting anas - then trying to use the tab key.

I do that constantly.
Angel and I sometimes use AIM, while she at work or when I'm playing she's in the bedroom and i'm in the living room, she'll just send me a message through AIM without having to shout back and forth, I can't tell you how many times i've either hit Cntrl+R to reply to her or the conversation will go something like
Angel "Hey, is dinner ready?"
Codeine "/p 5 more minutes"
Angel "-.-"
Codeine " doh >.<"

My pet peeve in AIM is trying to hit escape to clear a line. I use trillian, and the escape key closes the window (and therefore destroys the conversation history T_T.

heh... the program I use for IM lets me hit escape to clear a line /gloat
