It's strange though because we're running the same exact graphics card and I don't have the issues. I'm going to try reapplying the patch on her machine. |

If you recently updated the vid card sometimes the install is bad too. Also check to see if v-sync is on (prob wouldnt cause it but might as well see).
Nos is prob right, could just be a bad install of the patch.

tried reinstalling the patch and im pretty sure that made it worse... i dont know a whole lot about computers n stuff, but i know nos has tried quite a few things so far...including getting new video drivers...its starting to look more and more like we're going to have to reinstall wow  @ markus: yeah, its driving me crazy. i wanted to level up some really low alts and i cant see what im doing @ grim: just tried that "fix" and it didnt do anything at all. |

I've had similar issues, but instead half of my screen goes blank, or a have a giant line through my screen. Usually fixes itself if I alt tab out.

You probably already did it, but did you try the WoW repair? Not yet, that's the next step. I forced a reinstall of the 4.01 patch since that's when the issues arose, but we'll have to try a complete repair next. |

So forcing the game into opengl mode seems to be the only fix at the moment, unfortunately I don't know how that's going to effect her performance.
