Brushes with Celebrity

Anybody ever met anyone famous or have a funny story about a celebrity?

I grew up in NY so I've got plenty but I won't bore you. I'll tell the one that I know Aidar will enjoy (sorry hon).

Colin Quinn was a regular at a comedy club that I used to go to a lot in NYC. I met him one night through another comedian and he started chatting me up about my life. I told him that I worked in an art gallery so he came up with some bullshit story about how he had just bought a loft in SoHo and needed help decorating for him and his "girlfriend". So, I gave him my office number and he called to ask me out!! >< Dirty old Irishman. Now if it had been Godfrey instead.... (He was the MC and he is HAWT!!!)

hmmm celebrities huh...well being as how i have my own band....andhave had for many yrs i have met many famous musicians but i like isa wont bore u will lots of stories.. have played on stage with the judds, and opened for starship (used to be jefferson airplane) used to like them till i met them in person..bunch of jerks is what they r ..wouldnt sign autographs for kids that waited in line for a couple of hours to get their autographs i thought that was pretty crappy.. and my band furnished their friggin percussion instruments for them the buggers. my lead guitarists 13 year old daughter came out after they informed everyone they werent signing autographs..(we were all standing at the back stage entrance about 10 feet from starship) and she says hey dad..lets go get some ice cream i didnt want to see them jerks anyway..loud enough for them to hear it lol .should have seen the looks on their faces was priceless....i turned at told um..yep fans come and go just that easy..next thing i knew after we opened for them mickey thomas walked over and handed me his guitar strap said it was for showing them what class was..lol i use it daily.

I hate that story, I am planning on killing colin quinn, but you got lucky hun, look how fat and disgusting he is now XD

um, i've met a ton of american political elite (i worked for a congressman one summer and sat in on many of the committee meetings as his LRA even though i was an intern )

also met michael stipe from REM. i went to UGA and he would occaissionally come to some of the concerts hosted by the school of music (and i had to usher them b/c i was in the music sorority). he was totally high and was just out of it. was a bit scary....
