A message to Ex-Orphans, Orphans on a break, etc..

This message is intended for all the members who have quit, who will quit or who are on a break from [EO].



Many of you have made comments along the lines of 'since I have left EO, they no longer treat me the same. They ignore me completely.'

As shellholder, I take this very personally. In most cases, I assume you are talking about me. The purpose of this post is to clear up any misunderstandings and hopefully avoid similar situations. To sum it up, walk a mile in my/our shoes.

I have a responsibility and it is to the members of this shell. Once you leave this shell, you are no longer my responsibility. I currently have anywhere from 30-64 online members who I would like to get to know better. 30-64 members who have questions, complaints, suggestions and compliments to give. 30-64 members who need help... If you are no longer a member, you need to understand, you are no longer my number one priority.

Now, if you left [EO] in a respectable manner, you are still my friend or an acquaintance. Let's be honest, some people come and go so quick, I don't really get a chance to know them. Seeing as how you are still my friend, of course I dont mind chatting with you. Of course I hope all is well. Of course I hope that your enjoying your time in FF...

Now, if you left [EO] in a manner that is not respectable. You no longer exist. No, I don't have a large ego. I am wrapped up in what we are doing. I am wrapped up in what we have planned. This isn't easy and I am dedicated to making this work.



Basically what I am saying is cut me some slack. For the love of God, if you know we are cool, dont start with 'omfg Markus is so fucked up, he's a hypocrite and a liar. He said if I bowed out gracefully we would still be cool. Why the hell is he ignoring me.'

Ummm I set chat filters (emotes, shouts) on for Dynamis, sometimes it's a few days before I remember to switch it back. I was AFK? Maybe I am in a rush, I got shit to do too....




If anyone is curious on how to leave a linkshell politely. Make a post, explaining why. Be polite and to the point, I cant stand that pussy footing shit. Dont tip toe around me. If you dont have forum access (no PC), POL email an officer. /tell an officer. The message will be passed on.



But if you think you are gonna sneak around in another shell, to see if you like it and then pick and choose.... Let it be known, I dont get used often. If you think that you need to justify your actions by portraying us in a negative light, you are shooting yourself in the foot. 'I need a new shell cause I never get helped.' 'I joined a new shell cause you guys are like this and like that.'

Ya I started ranting again, but this has been on my mind for a few days. Some of the people making these accusations are ex members that I respect alot or current members that I respect alot... I can only think of 2 people on this entire server that I hate. 2. Lol thats not alot, is it?


ALSO! I really hope all Orphans do there best to make new members feel welcomed. Old members should also feel welcomed. Members who have moved on should also be treated with respect. Don't make me name names or try to get to the bottom of this. We have all invested a lot of time and energy in this game, let's not intentionally ruin it becuase of stuborness or ignorance.

If "you" leave EO...then "you" are actually the one changing....only assume that you will recieve the same in return. Although most of us are more polite about it then the one who is leaving.

Nicely well said, I've had this on my mind too lately. And it hurts to have members leave, and it hurts to have it thrown in our faces that "we don't care" because my God we care. More than we can ever show.
But if we want what's best for our friends, and if they think joining a new shell is best for them, we must respect their decision.

second , EO DOING GREAT ON EVENTS , "LIVE AND LEARN" and its working great , yes i not in EO anymore , but , i can say EO r a great LS atm .
though all LS have problems u cant avoid them they will come always .
Yes i think markus r sure , EO r big and should be hard lead everyone , though with SH and other natural leader.
well , ppl need work togheter , to amke it easier to everyone , i know u guys can get crazy leading to much things to do and to think . rnt 100% posssible u make everyone happy .
Though i think many things can be avoided from actions of EO menber and Ex-EO being mature and dont wanting to see nothing going bad.

I here outside EO but i want the Best to my Friends MOST maybe all of them on EO , how i can curse a LS of a friend ?! though EO is my friend , i not mad to none menber or to LS. i not joined the game to hate or make enymies , i wanted FUN and FRIENDS.
