I wasn't blown away by the game, but I think they did a pretty solid job with it overall. It is an effective remake of the classic, retaining all of its quirks, charms and original gameplay... while also doing a few thing to modernize it. Most of the new additions are pretty gimmicky, but you can ignore them completely if you want to. The production values are solid, with some great looking scenes. I was not as impressed with the remixed soundtrack, as it came across as incredibly lazy.

If you're a fan of Final Fantasy IV, you should definitely give a play.
