Hey Glad, i think rng still owns, especially rng/war (omfg all the attack boosts!!! it's insane!!!!!!! BERSERK WARCRY = PWNAGE AND FAST DEATH AAAAHAHAHAHAHAHA!)
but people complain about the nerf because yeah, they used to do that pwnage as rng/nin- so that they'd piss shit off and not get killed afterwards lol.
ah well, i still think rng is awesome
i'm just glad ppl will consider drg again- it's one of the most interesting jobs because of all of the possible combinations from subjobs...
of course this drg fixation will vanish when blue mage hits the streets

The only person who bad-mouthed rangers post-nerf is a 74 rng, and I think he was kidding.
For me, the invite rate pre-nerf to post-nerf is noticably different. That's what I was referring to in my post.

You're one of the few who understand how to use the new ranger then. If I remember, rng/nin use to go up close, get the tp from melee and rng attks inbetween for to dish out ws like crazy. After update, the rng attk sucked up close so you had to move back. Now, with /nin all you get is the + stats of having duel wield <insert weapon here> and Shihei useage. I'm currently working on ranger for the promy crags any input you could give me would be highly appercated.
But, not in this topic >.> This is the rant of a drg gone mad. I'm looking forward to doing more as a drg now, rather then lvling other jobs so I can take part in events...

weel lower than 1 week after update that make rngs bad stuff for they fall on price so fast , and BS is right >.> i see DUNES >.> lots of blue mages >.> and over crowed places that his Coffers spawn will be =o c.c soon i get new expansion i will be a blue mage just to see >.> at least till 10 =p. will take forever to i get new expwnsion but >.> i dont will give up =/ like a siad sam/rng lose much more than rng/nin or rng/war too >.> sam/rng was to much DD in one job >.< doing more dmg than normal rngs c.c they really gont gimped

tarick, i laugh at your "mnk suck in dmg" statement. try tanking against one at 75, its hard as hell, ne tank will agree with me there.
for this drg and rng nerf crap, or w/e... the job is only as good as the player playing it in most aspects, i mean.. i know rng cant control that god awful miss rate on ws's now, but neways, instead of being upset at this update, id feel good about myself getting to 75 pre-update, i've seen a fair share of good drgs awhile back. It's that most drg dont know how to use spirit link or jump to its potential.
P.S. PLD AFv2 totally owns any other AFv2 broken lol

There was a noticeable Ranger Nerf and I'd like to consider myself a decent ranger both pre/post nerf. First off..we lost tons of ranged accuracy. In South Gustaberg I missed mobs 4/10 shots with all my ranged accuracy gear on. Sidewinder/Arching Arrow hit only about 60% of the time with Sharp Shot activated on IT's. We also can't melee anymore....so not only do we gain tp slower then almost any other melee job, we can't be counted on on Skill Chains. I've killed many of BLM because of it......... "Nauren uses Arching Arrow but misses.......Zorich uses Firaga III for 1200 damage" "Zorich dies on a non-magic bursted nuke"
At lvl 72 I almost died to 3 moblins in Oldton Movapolis. I had 2 links to a moblin I was fighting...I had to shadowbind and run to live. We can't do any damage up close due to a 25% damage reduction penalty.
I still play pretty good and I still find ways to bring my damage up..but we should have never been nerfed this badly.

yea the no more melee stuff, i could care less about, i get tp fast enough to keep up with every1, but i still wish they would give rng back their rng acc for gods sake

I use to get tp faster then everyone....Ranger gets like 15 tp per ranged shot and about another 10 per melee. so I was gaining 25 tp a turn. 4 turns and I was ready to WS.

SE claims they were "balancing out" the job , but i dont recall any other DD missing half their WS's, so i dont see much balance to it, other then this acc problem, rng is fine

Not to mention having to SC with rngs is more...intricate since often their ws does pull hate and they're standing further away from mob now and the mob goes to chase them. Nothing which can't be corrected, but it's still something to think about when making a pt
