Not very realistic, but I love this finisher for the WTF!!! factor. 'Tis awesome.
The match that made me say FUCK WCW and start watching WWF back when I was in High School. Mick Foley is still my favorite wrestler to this day, though I don't watch it much anymore.

Yea that second video is widely considered to be the greatest match of all time. I used to always get upset when non wrestling fans said that wrestling was fake or not a sport... I always directed them to this video and told them to jump off a cage. Only 10 feet in the air (the one in the video is higher), fall back first onto a stack of pillows and let me know how you feel. Then go and try and do what Mick did... It's insane really...

Fine by me, my update installer is only at 63%... ..no, 64%. I'm installed. Just can't log in yet. When the character screen did finally load up, I was in game, hearing people log in but I had the WoW art screen in front of me...

The first bump is the one that got all the attention, but that second bump is the true HOLYSNOT one. The first bump he had that announcers table to break his fall somewhat.. he's just lucky he didn't land on one of the televisions w/ his lower back. The second bump he landed in the freaking ring.... and contrary to popular belief, the rings don't give THAT much. They're pretty solid. The second bump is the one that knocked out his front tooth and sent it up through his nose. I can't remember if they show it in that video clip, but there's a closeup of Mick sticking his tongue through a big gash in his lower lip while you see a tooth dangling from his nostril.
And the crazy part was all that happened right at the beginning of the match. They went on and had a full match after those two massive bumps. The back-body drop onto the thumbtacks looks like it had to hurt like a $$^#^ too. I love that match. Foley was willing to do damn near anything to get a match over with the crowd. He could shoot a hell of an interview too.

Yea and the choke slam on the thumb tacks ain't too shabby either lol...
And WWE rings are considered to be the hardest in the business. WCW rings were considered to be for the old timers or w/e... Industry joke kind of thing, WCW rings are soft...
He has a ridiculously high threshold for pain...

General
* All players will have their talent points reimbursed and will have access to new talents throughout their trees; this includes the 51-point talents. Several new spells and abilities have been added for all classes. Players will need to visit their class trainer to learn new spells. * The Kirin Tor have made their move and so has Dalaran. Please watch your step around the crater that has been left behind! * The Barber Shop has been implemented and you can now visit one of the Barber Shops in the major cities to change your appearance. Be sure to get your Shave and a Haircut! * The all new Achievement System has been implemented and the Achievement panel can be accessed via the interface. While many achievements are not retroactive, we have done our best to credit as many as possible. Gamemasters will not be able to grant achievements for past accomplishements. * Stormwind Harbor is now open for business. * New towers have been added outside Of Orgrimmar and in Tirisfal Glades. Crews are currently at work to establish a new Zeppelin route to Northrend for your travel pleasure. Please no /spit off of the towers. * A new entrance is now viewable in the Caverns of Time. * Hit Rating, Critical Strike Rating, and Haste Rating now modify both melee attacks and spells. * Spell casting and spell channeling pushback has been changed to the following: o When casting a spell: + The first and second hit will add .5 secs each to the cast time. + All hits after the second will have no effect. o When channeling a spell: + The first and second hit reduces current duration by 25% of total duration each. + All hits after the second will have no effect.[/u][/b] o Spellpower: + All items and effects which grant bonuses to spell damage and spell healing are being consolidated into a single stat, Spellpower. This stat will appear with the same values found on items which grant “increased spell damage and healing” such as on typical Mage and Warlock itemization. # For classes which do not heal, they should see no change in the character sheet other than new tooltip wording. + Healing characters will see their bonus healing numbers on the character sheet decrease, however, all healing spells have been modified to receive more benefit from spellpower than they received from bonus healing, with a net effect of no change to the amount healed by their spells. Some talents have had to be rebalanced to accommodate this change, but the amount healed will remain roughly the same. In addition, some talents will provide only healing spell power.

Hit Rating, Critical Strike Rating, and Haste Rating now modify both melee attacks and spells
hallelujah, our CC becomes slightly less gimped now that we can actually help mitigate its 16% SPELL RESIST through our Hit Rating.

Wow Milara. I had no idea you were making EO Music videos. Rock on girl! Teehee, thanks :-) The first bump is the one that got all the attention, but that second bump is the true HOLYSNOT one. The first bump he had that announcers table to break his fall somewhat.. he's just lucky he didn't land on one of the televisions w/ his lower back. The second bump he landed in the freaking ring.... and contrary to popular belief, the rings don't give THAT much. They're pretty solid. I can't remember if they show it in that video clip, but there's a closeup of Mick sticking his tongue through a big gash in his lower lip while you see a tooth dangling from his nostril. Yeah the chair that was up on the top of the cage fell through just before him so he actually hit part of the chair when he landed too. I remember seeing a shoot interview with Mick later on where he said he dislocated his arm on the first drop... or partially... I remember he was holding it kinda awkwardly but he managed to climb the cage again. And Undertaker had a broken foot going in to the match which is why he landed kinda awkwardly after dropping down after the top of the cage collapsed under Mick. They can put on one hell of a show for being and getting injured like that... gotta give them huge credit for that. ;-)

He was completely knocked unconscious by that chair. I think that's what sent his tooth up through his nasal cavity, too. You can see in the video where Terry Funk runs in and kinda gets his ass kicked by Undertaker... that was to buy Mick enough time to come to and recover enough that he could finish the match, because he was GONE.
Man, I miss the RAW is WAR years. I think I'm still a wrestling mark at heart, but the crap they call 'wrestling' these days is just FTL. I know they don't want people getting hurt and stuff, but during the late 90's when everyone was willing to do anything to make a good match... wow that was an awesome time to be a fan.
Do/did you ever watch any of the Puroresu stuff, Mil? Since you used to live overseas iirc? That was some wild shit too. Harder to find over here and not as easy to get into b/c I only knew who a handful of the guys were, but some of that stuff was just unbelievable. Exploding rings and barbed wire and fire and.. well... you name it, they probably used it in at least one match. Those guys used to beat the crap out of each other for real every night. REALLY stiff workers in Japan. And even in the non-gimmicky fights, there would be some really really good solid wrestling.
