Ok, so I'm back home from my little weekend long bachloette party from NYC. All in all it was a good time, but I think I could freaking write a short story about the weekend. I'll fill you guys in on some of the more amusing and rediculous points of the trip. First, however, let me introduce the girls:
The Bachlorette: Emily - friend from college. She hasn't changed since college either, infact, I think she's gotten worse. She is such a spaz, and she's the kind of girl who, when she has a sort of weird and random though, not only says it out loud, but dwells on it for hours.
The Maid of Honor: Alisia - Emily's sister. Down to earth, sensible, sweet. Sort of the opposite of Emily. How they are sisters, I have no idea.
The Snob: Melanie - Emily's future sister in law. She's was a snobbish bitch like the whole time...I wanted her dead.
"And then there's the Ho" - Jenny - Melanie's cousin. Hate to steal from Margaret Cho's stand up comedy routine, but this chick was as such a slut. Any guy who walked past that was semi decent looking, this girl had their number.
The Other Girl: Lisa. Some friend of Emily's from I have no idea where. She was pretty cool though, but quiet.
So we got to New York about six on Friday, we stayed on some Naval base...for the life of me I can't remember now...but we were close to the Staten Island Ferry that would take us into NYC. We had 2 rooms, the snob and the ho were in one, and the rest of us were in the other. Well, after chillin at the room for afew (had afew drinks in the room with the booze we brough), we decided to go out. Meanwhile snob and ho are scoping out some UGLY ass guys who are also staying on the same floor as us. They tell them they are heading out, ho gives this guy James her cell phone number and they decided we'd like hook up. Well, after playing chase for like over an hour trying to find a decent place to drink, we just go to this little mom and pop tavern. I have to admit it's a cool place - and do you know you can't smoke in NY bars?? Well that made me happy since I'm allergic, but the owner was there, and drunk, and he really liked us, so he let everybody smoke, which sent me outta that place on more than one occasion to get some fresh air. Now granted, there was only like 3 other people in the bar when we got there - including this really sweet Alabama boy. I sat next to him and we talked for a while...turns out he was flirting with me the whole time, and snob girl was apparently falling in love with him. *LOL* She was LIVID that he was "sweating" me...the only married one of the bunch! *LOL* And here I thought I was just having a nice convo with him, plus he would also escort me outside and keep me company when the place got too smokey. Well that was a total ego boost and a half when I finally figured out he was attracted to me. But he patted my head and gave me a kiss on the cheek, wished me well and cursed his own fate, saying he would be sure never to forget me. *BLUSH*
That night - all of us were fine except Emily, who was totally blitzed. We also had to calm her down because she thought she was going to die in her sleep because she was drunk >< OMG that sucked. For like an hour the most random shit came out of her mouth, and she dwelled on it. UGH...I just wanted sleep!!!!
Next day - Venturing into NYC - ok...so we were so lost, and apparently NYC subway is very random over the weekend, tracks were shutting down here and there whenever they wanted, and we got detoured ALOT. Saw Ground Zero - was alittle odd, the memorial was sad...but I didn't get that overwhelming sense of sadness or whatever. It was just...a massive hole in the ground. We did alittle shopping - I bought Alexis a plushie ducky from FAO, saw Trump Tower and Tiffany's (Ok from a girl standpoint, I SO did not get what the hubub was about...I know, I'm not normal). We walked around so much my legs were aching. AND WTF is up with a Starbucks on every freaking block? I'm so allergic to coffee too...and all the girls I was with were like fiends. I gave Gael a call outside of one just because I was so bored. During one of our like march across towns this guy on roller skates came by, shouting to the people to watch out. Behind him was this camera crew. The ho shouts something to him, and he replies that he'll do a trick for a kiss. The ho agrees. So suddenly all of us get roped in to be the backdrop for this trick, cheering him on, etc. The skater guy introduces himself as Mark, and we introduce ourselves. After afew minutes of prep, he jumps over the handrail down this flight of steps and lands. We cheer, and he asks for his kiss. The ho backs out. The guy pouts and then states "Well, that's ok. I'd rather have Jessica kiss me, she's the prettiest." *ROFLMAO* The ho was SEETHING. I agreed and gave him a kiss on the cheek - so uh...if you see some movie on like HBO or Sundace or something with a skater guy Mark, a red headed chick in blue oakley sunglasses with yellow lenses giving him a kiss - that was me. I had my clothing on though...so if they airbrush my clothing out....um....I'm not a girl's gone wild.
Naked Boys Singing - ya, that's the show we saw. It was funny as hell, the guys were good singers...and they were naked. VERY VERY NAKED. But they were all gay! Sooo...ya. *lol* The Ho was once again like drooling over every guy just about...I kept laughing to myself. Even the snob had her ho'ish moments. We went to this little brick oven pizza shop for dinner, food was good, ho was droolin over the italian guy waiter.
I expected everybody to want to go back to our little tavern again (we said we were going to) and I' was sure that the snob wanted to see the guy who had the hots for me again (oh ya, she gave him her phone number *LOL*) but oddly enough they were like, asleep by the time the rest of us had gotten ready, so we just stayed in. Emily spouted some more random shit while we all desperately wanted sleep.
Sunday morning - on the road again. We stopped for breakfast at a little diner...and this one guy for like a full minute was turned around in his chair to look at us. ANNOYING! Then he'd turn like every few seconds to glance. UGH, I couldn't digest. Felt kinda sick on the car ride home, had the sun beating down on me the whole time...so now I feel kinda wierd...but I'm SO glad to be home. Missed you all, I'll see ya soon!
