It's things like that which make you and Miruuk leaving so difficult. This 'game' is so intertwined with real life...some guy I've never actually seen or heard just made a link to a pic of my dog who recently passed away as a way to further express his sympathy and condolances.

All my friends said when I told them about him dieing was:
*awkward pause for a few seconds*
"So....are you getting a new dog?"

i watched the slideshow for the first time today and its freaking sweet man. Did u use Java, dreamweaver ? i would like to know cuz looks awsome.

Alright, I'm really new to this shell, as you all know, but I just have two things to say after watching that.
First of all, great song for the show. It's very pretty, and quite appropriate. Wonderful choice, man.
Second. Forgive me if I get really sentimental and sappy for a few minutes -- I'm just that kind of guy.
Watching that slideshow nearly brought tears to my eyes. It wasn't just the music, either; what I saw in that slideshow was all heart. A while ago, I told someone in-game that I loved seeing the world of Vana'diel, and catching one of those special moments -- a sunset on an airship bound for Kazham (or my own home San d'Oria), watching the moon hang low over Gemini Falls, just staring at a rainbow in La Theine, what have you -- really made me feel like this digital world has something more to it. The only way I could describe it at the time was to say it made me feel like the world had soul.
After watching that, I realize it isn't the visuals that give it that quality. It's the people in it, the ones we form bonds with, that make those moments so wonderful. Every time I enter the Sanctuary of Zi'Tah, I'm reminded of the great things that have happened there for me, and the road I had to take to get there, and the people that have been there for me. I'm reminded of all the wonderful people I've known throughout my time in the game. Sadly, many of those people (who were in FireTempest) no longer play... and I miss them dearly.
Seeing that slideshow made it clear to me just what kind of connection you all have to each other. You guys really have seen it all... The happiness and laughter, the loss and joy, the undying loyalty -- all of it spoke to me more clearly than anyone could ever explain it. It's not only the world. It's people like you that give it that soul, that endearing quality that makes me love playing so much.
I'm truly honored to be a part of this linkshell, and I hope that someday I'll be part of the wonderful connection you all have.
There... sorry if I got too sappy, I just had to say that.
