I figured it would have the typical story line (save the girl and the world) which it did, but there were a few plot twist that I thought were kind of nice. As far as the combat goes, it's very similar to FF XII. You can set spells and melee to "slots" as well as create custom combos. The crafting system is nice, but I don't think it's very relevant until you start doing on line stuff since most of the materials you can only get that way.

The only things I didn't really like about it was that it was very linear and I mean very linear. There are no side quest (single player wise) and there is literally no exploration except to find a few treasure chest which normally have crappy items inside. While the knights are pretty cool, it can be a pain having to change to knight form after a while.

All in all I had a lot of fun with this game and I can't wait to start the multi player.

I'm on my second play through and grinding to Guild Rank 8(Quest/Online XP) atm.
The end game has a lot of potential if you have 3 friends that will put some time into it with you.
Hardcore JPMMO type endgame just like Monster Hunter.
