Final Fantasy XIII Versus - Release date ???

Character

Main Protagonist

The main character of Versus so far is only a temporary design. The final result will be revealed next year. He remains unnamed at this time. Not much is known about him other then that he is a royal prince.




Unnamed Female Character

Nothing is known about her other then she has a blondish or silver-ish hair color and that she tends to give the Prince glares that seems to upset him some.


Unnamed Male Character

Yet another mystery character that was revealed just for a glimpse. He seems to be a pretty faced boy with a blonde hair fringe that almost covers his right eye. He is very tall and skinny and carries a gun of some sorts. He seems to be very chatty as in the TGS 07 trailer he was seen chatting to the Prince non-stop as the Prince subtly ignored him.


Game Play Bullet Points

-Will play like a more realistic version of Kingdom Hearts

-Using some third person shooter elements

-Airship battles and Airship worldwide travel confirmed.

-The world is so huge that Nomura is trying to find a way to shrink the world map.


Plot Bullet Points

-A blend of modern and medieval aesthetics

-Takes place in modern times, however most other cities are stuck in medieval times

-Only the Prince’s city has a crystal, but war has waged for Crystals for years

-Crystals are very important in war.

-The Prince is the last heir to a dynasty ruling the only remaining city to possess a Crystal

-(from what Maiki gathers) there was text that looked like "the organization of destruction" that flashed before they showed a mafia-like organization
-a keyword that looked like "fugitive" flashed before Shotgun Guy
-- Two more male characters joined in: Scar-eyed Guy and Glasses Guy
-Scar-eyed Guy showed up and gave Shotgun Guy a headlock after Shotgun Guy gave the Prince a headlock (but not right after)
-- The four guys (Scar-eye, Shotgun, Glasses and Prince) stood on a building's rooftop, staring away at a different building looming far away from them
-The Prince look determined then turned around and walked away, the others followed suit
-Robed person scene doesn't look much different but his hair style changed a bit

What's the difference between XIII and XIII Versus? Why didn't they just call it 14 or give it a new name or something. KH was pretty awesome although I think I enjoy FF's original battle system.

They want to make a compilation like FF7. Several games pertaining to a single universe. These games take place in 2 different worlds with different storylines that are nothing to do with each other...but they both have alot to do with crystals.

Versus will be an action based system alot like kindgom hearts...actually the kingdom hearts crew is workign on Versus....the other FFXIII will be more original with traditional fighting systems.

Yea these games look sick, I can't wait... This is a nice little site that I used to read ALOT back in the day. It's a decent site, I was surprised to find it still up and running, it's been awhile now. Going to add it back to my daily routine of sites visited

Crystal tools can be use in a third Gen console engine.think they did one game for Wii.Think FFXIII will be PS3 exclusive irrc

Aye Crystal tools can be used on PS3, 360, PC and the Wii. However its architecture was made specifically for the PS3. We do know that FFXIII and Versus are PS3 exclusive but I have no doubt about seeing other versions appear elsewhere.

There are two things still sitting on the sideline. One is a bubble tree SE showed off with 6 bubbles and only 3 filled in with FFXIII, FFXIII Versus and FFXIII Agito. The other 3 were blank leading us to believe there could be 3 more FFXIII's.

The next is SE registered and made a trademark for FFXIII Haeresis however we have not heard any info on this as of yet.

Technically two. There is a FF Crystal Chronicles the Promised King already out. There is also a FF Crystal Chronicles the Crystal Bearers supposably coming out next year.
