I still plan to do my addicted 12+ hours each day on the weekends though... -t

Actually its only mon-fri 9-5:30 for the training, which lasts 4 weeks btw. After that there is a shift bid process, with seniority getting first pick of course. So in a month I could be working one of some 30 odd shifts any time, any day. Thankfully they are for a quarter at a time, which will be a welcome change after the week to week chaos of retail.
