So, does anybody does systems admin or desktop support?
Reson I ask is, I got a shipment today from memoryx.com (they sell Sun Microsystems replacement parts) and I bought 512 mbs of ram but they labeled 2 128 mb chips with a 256 mb label and shipped me the incorrect product. I've been waiting on them to call me for hours and I'm getting really pissed off. Has anybody else had this problem with memoryx? Did they think I was going to put the ram in and just not notice? Is there somewhere else that you know sells reliable Sun components (other than through Sun Microsystems themselves)?

I'm a security administrator, used to be a web programmer/analyst before they eliminated the position. Could have maybe moved into SAP programming had I shown more interest, but I don't want to be a full time programmer. Security is fine, I guess.
Sorry, I don't do any purchasing, and we only have a few Sun servers. No idea where we buy Sun parts from. I would contact Sun and find out who their recommended resellers are. I know we do a lot of buying through cdw.com, not sure if they sell Sun stuff.

Just scrap your solaris box and run linux! More seriously, its been many many years since Ive ordered anything for a Sun. As locke said, Id recomend calling or looking on Sun's website.
