I just spent a good hour looking over an HNM site and seeing all the cool screen shots and drop screen shots made me realize how fun end game sounds...But its many a way from me ever getting there..And I spoke to Tempus a few number of times...I honestly feel like I wanna quit...

I mean you guys make it worthwhile...but..I'm not going forward...And It might not be possible unless I delevel a few times but I feel like I'm going backwards..or atleast at a turtles pace....

I know it would be obscenely stupid to claim I was quitting and come back, and I know that one day it'll happen..one day we'll be making some other newbie wish he was level 75..Or atleast you guys will..

If I never make it to the top I'll be glad to say I tried my best with your wonderful support. I'm not going to be appearing less often or acting more depressed..Or even acting like an asshole in some occasions..Anyways..the simple and bare point is if I don't get there I can count on you guys to go for me. : )

Dude why dont you feel like you are moving forward? Your what 58 or 59 now? Seems like 3 weeks ago you were like 55. I know how you feel sometimes. I see everyone moving pass me in levels and it kinda makes you wanna puke. But I've tossed that out the window cuase it was making the game unfun. Its not a competition or a race. Its about having fun, adventuring, fucking around. I wont be 75 for a long time. But Ill be trying my best to gain a couple levels here and there, questing when I can and all and all, trying to get to come along on the random crap we do. That is the funniest part of it all. So buckle down and get yourself to 60.

Are you kidding me man? When I first started out playing FFXI I thought I'd never even stick with it long enough to get my AF. I played from the beginning with THF subjobless >TWICE.< It was hell! But anyhow, I've seen you have nothing but progress Rivero! Whether you're crafting, xping, doing missions, or questing I've heard nothing but good things. Your MNK is almost 60 and I know you've significantly leveled your BLM recently as well as finished all the promyvions and an avid PvPer! All I've done lately is get myself further into debt and XP grind (although I also got rank 8 and my Assault Jerkin as well :3). Anyways, a break can be good, kind of keeps you in check but if you leave don't leave for long because we'll be here waiting for you!

You know I want you to be happy dude. I'd prefer for that to happen in the game so we could still hang out, cause I have fun when we just go fuck around. Trying to find that NM and just exploring Lufaise Meadows was a lot of fun. And I agree with them on the levels. Your so close to 60 and howling fist...

Yah, I see exp as a necessary evil. I don't like it, I just do it to get to the point where I can go do the other cool stuff. Level when you feel like, you'll get there someday. Like me for instance, I can't exp again until the 22nd or so, it sucks, but when I come back I'm going to have to get back on and ride the exp to 70... it's a game so I try not to let it bother me.

(Hmmm.) Bah. Just get 60 and things will look up. Only thing that puts monk underneath other DDs is we're horrible skillchain partners. Just get to 60 and then you're in a whole new ballgame. Then look forward to 65 and Dragon Kick and you'll just be riding along the pt invites and get to end game in no time.

Knowing Im gonna start a debate here I'll post anyway. First pt invites arent gonna get any easier once you hit 65. We are still only gonna be one of maybe 2 DD allowed in a party. So of course RNG's will come first. And most people will take another blm over us anyway. But you will not be left out for some stupid reason. So your chances will be higher. Was funny last night because everyone talks bout Distortion this Distortion that and that monks cant do it till 60. I pt up and the sc isnt even Distortion. lol. So im using Backhand Blow again lol. Anyway its not the leveling that bothers me at all. I can start pts no problem and if ingredients arent there i do something else with the flag up or start another xp session with some other job.

Ya but at late 50's only XP areas I can think of are Gustav and Cape Terrigan. Gustav Tunnel Fusion is great! We can end Fusion nicely too. But there is no good weapon skill to start it. Tachi Koki > Tachi Kagero, Slug shot > Hot Shot, Rampage > Spinning Axe, etc. My favourite SC partner is Paladin and always has been: Red Lotus Blade > Raging Fists Fusion. Monks can Detonation and Scission well but these kind of suck on crabs / raptors / pugs / gobs. I don't even know where to go to xp @59, I believe it's Valley of Sorrows and more raptors / crabs / pugs?

Meh, typical set up for me seems to be whm / rdm / blm / pld / melee / melee. So typically a rng is preferred along with either sam/mnk/war/thf/drg/drk.

Besides I'm trying to cheer him up Krazi, way to be a downer! Harumph

Krazi, I agree, that was hilarious. Of course other than torama, when the hell are you ever going to use earth magic? Hopefully not often, lol.

There is so much I want to get to be a better monk and I have a feeling I wont get any of it till its to late to use it for xping. O. Well I'll have an uber ninja then.
