i was playing on fri night and sat morrning. now, as many of you know, i dont own the game, i play on wish's (my sister) comp. so im not with the ppl i started with. i believe wish was still in w ron when i started. well, because im not with the ppl i started, every time i play i get to pt with a new group of ppl...
well, my friend mirrage (aka umbral) is still in the dunes, and he was complianing that the ppl there were idiots... being the kind person i am, didnt believe him, and even said that the dunes is where you learn to pt... and that by qufim, they'd know how to do there roll, when i first got to qufim, not all that long ago, the pt knew there roll... and did it no questions asked, cept the ones that need to be asked.
well, i was wrong, every pt i was in, cept one (which had only 4 members, and we got 2.5k exp in just about an hr, which is good) was shitty. the blm were using there strongest spells and getting hate, the whm wasnt healing, the puller was pulling when we were resting, then he would pull vt's when we were trying to get exp, and the tank wasnt voking every 30 sec... i was the back up tank, so i was taking a shit load of hate, more then a thf should take
it could be my luck, or that ppl dont catch on till kazham...but take this a warning, for when they get to higher lvs...
at the moment, my thf can handle hate, but can your main at lv 60? (this is too all non tanking jobs..)

Believe it or not I can steal hate from tanks sometimes. Its just natural. If you do either you're playing your job right or your tank isin't. :x There are certain circumstances like when you Curry + Double Minuet + Warcry + Berserk + Dragon Kick on a Greater Cockatrice. o.O Boy having 750ish attack was fun.

your a mnk/ war though, so you can take hate (i dont know about your blm/whm though, lol)... its the fact that the mages where being attacked cause the tank wasnt voking (thfs cant creat or take hate long), the blm couldnt do anything cause it wasted its mp, and that we couldnt rest cause we had to save the puller. that and do you want to take hate when your not being healed? this was at lest 3 diffrent pts too, all had the same probs...

i can't tank for shit on my DRK with all the ATK and STR gear i wear i ultra gimp my defense like yesterday Ygrane was doing awesome job tanking and i had souleater + last resort + guillotine with landed for 1K damage then the goob we were fighting turned around and hit me for 743 damage and 1 shotted me basically. Shit happens and you can't always blame the tank but if the tank wasn't voking then you can blame them to some extent. It is also the job of the mages to control how much magic they use in a certain time period to reduce the hate that they gain from chaining a shitload of magic together. If all else fails on THF u can sub WAR at lower lvls and do a Voke + perfect dodge while PT sets back up.

itach.. i was voking, more then the main tank, but like i said, thfs cant keep hate for long... the only attack that i can do that creats hate is sneak attack, and that dont do shit when the mob is facing you... im saying that the tank wasnt voking at all, i wouldnt blame the tank if something like what happned to you happned to someone else... its the fact that he would prob voke 1-2 times a fight, where i was going 3-4 times a fight... and he was supposed to be the main...
and the other things, this wasnt just one pt, this was sveral others too, where i would voke more then the main... (i was only talking about the worst one)

and itach, can you honestly say, that you wouldnt get pissed at a puller who was pulling vt's, even when we told him to pull it's (there was only one puller that pissed me off, and he was a higher lv then me). and then when the mages were healing (the exp chains were shit, 80 per kill) he'd pull an it? im not joking, we told him to return to camp, so the mages could heal, so he decides to bring a pug with him, it wasnt argo. im just annoyed by the whole thing... the ldr didnt want to kick him off cause he was afreid that they wouldnt be able to find another puller... drudge<---- thf <---- puller... i even told him that i could pull, that he should find another tank...
there were at lest 3 wars searching...
oi, i just hope that they learn how to pt in kazham... (im going to get my keys soon!!!)

haha, idk even in the 50's u had to worry if u was gettin a bunch of nubs to pt with, lol, im sure Krazi an Tempy can remember some of those quite well. and u cant forget whats his face.. well i could since i dont remmeber his name but i know lot of people usta run past him an /slap him alot there was a nubby that no matter how many times he was told what he should be doing, or atleast told what he shouldnt be doing that he never learned

Drudge, there is no end to crappy PTs even at higher levels. That's the great thing about the xp value changes. More idiotic asshats can level up even faster than ever before (i.e. Mabs the BLM).

tell me about it, Fly and I got on to lvl last night to get lvl 52. our pt was blm, whm, rdm, rng, war/nin, pld awesome pt right? wrong... when we finally got to quicksand caves to start rocking and rolling, the pld does a /logout we wait for 2 hours for a replacement to show up, but nothing doing... 1 night wasted  we decided to just go and mess around and have fun with a quest instead though  |

but the best kind of idiot is one that does there job, like blueberry, and throw up (berrtys bobs every flavor beans)... but who can say no to a cherry? not i...
i forgot where i was going with this...
but seriously, when i frist got to the dunes, everything was okay, there was the occasinal screw up where i would pull a linked mob, or the whm wouldnt heal anough... but a lot of things went wrong the last two days that i played.
hell, when i was lving with axia in the dunes (i didnt need nor care for teh exp, i was only there cause she couldnt find anyone) the back up tank, which was a sam/war, wouldnt voke off of me, so i died twice... (i wasnt mad over the exp loss), but the back up, which he had lv'd war, so should know how to tank, left me hanging... i died, and didnt even voke it so the mages wouldnt get hurt... luckly i was the only one to die.
which leads me to my point... finaly. its cause players are too selfish... that there not learning how to pt right, or dont care about others. im more then sure that i wouldnt have died in that pt if the sam had taken it for at lest 15 secs... thats how close it was.

dont like blowin Sony horn specially here on this board, but the one thing i do like alot is everyone in the pt pays for a players death, so some asshat goes being a tard an he's gonna hurt himself to for lettin you die... the really only unfortunate thing is the penalty has been lessened some now days which does suck some, but still atleast the principal behind the idea though is sound an leads to better groups on the Avg. In the few groups i have been in on there virtually all groups end up being pretty decent sure some are better then others, but ive almost never had a really bad pt experience though. weather or not this is due to the death penalty that everyone shares or not, idk, but i do belive it really doesnt hurt though. lol jus think if everytime some asshole let u die they lost like 2% of levels xp, not regainable via raise or any item either. bet those players would get there shit together or end up with a bad bad rep, but at the very least they may never get high level aswell  |

it is true that by idiots letting people die or dying themself those people reduce the amount of time and the flow of the experience therefore in the longrun ruining their over all EXP/Hour numbers.
