Tattoos?

I've been thinking about getting a tattoo for about 4 years now... I know what I want and where I want it, but its only a matter of finding the right design.

I was wondering if any EO members are tattooed? Can you post pics and tell us about why you chose it and all that good stuff?

I actually have 5 but incorporated one into another so I have 4 if I can get a chance I will port then on here but to tell u them may work also.. My first was just the chinese letter for pain on my right deltoid muscle (upper arm) My second was a chinese letter for fury on my left deltoid my third was a bone wreath around the left fury tattoo w/ it open at the top.. My fourth is a black panther w/ green eyes on my right arm below the chinese letter & my 5th is on my left calf which is a native american medicine wheel in the colors of my tribe w/ a red tail hawk & blood dipped eagle feather hanging from it. If u can image them then good as I said I will try & post the pics of them when I can

I´ve been thinking about getting a tattoo for a while too, I kinda want to do tribal wings in my back, from sholder to sholder
the dude that works with me kinda made a sketch, but I want to fix some stuff on it still, u can view it here

I wont do it til it´s perfect, since it´s a permanent thing, not like piercings eheheh
those I do and take out a lot
right now I got tongue, and 3 ear piercings
but I had before a lip piercing, labret (I took it out a week ago) and another ear piercing
but I plan on doing the tattoo sometime this year

I have 2 tattoos. One is on my right shoulder blade.. that one is just sterio typical I suppose.. It is a red rose with barbed wire wrapped around it.. = love hurts, so to speak. The other one everyone has seen in my pic.

I think that tirbal would be pretty kick a*& but I don't think I would put that there my pref. would prob. be to wra pit around my right calf I really don't want anything on my back.. My wife does that a celtic knot crescent moon on the small of her back w/ the "horns" of the moon facing the spine. I don't think I woudl do that either though lol. But the tribal is a great look

Aerya, I actually want wings tattooed on my back as well but I want them to look real.. Just a matter of finding the right design. I've found some that I've liked but none enough to get it done. I was thinking about fairy type wings but now I think I'm certain I want them to resemble the wings of a bird. I definitly want feathers. =) Thanks for sharing!

I have five but one was an impulse buy (lol) and I have spent countless hours and about ten times the price of the actual tattoo to get it removed. And, for the record, it is NOT someone's name or anything like that. It's a lizard on my lower leg and it's just not me. Funny thing is, I like tattoos a lot better than piercings even though they are permanent. I have always been a tomboy and I don't wear any makeup or jewerly (besides my wedding ring) so tats are like accessories for me, a way for me to express myself. I have a quarter moon with a face on my lower left stomach, a red, orange and yellow sun with black outline and shadowing on my right shoulder blade, the chinese symbol for love on my lower back which i went back and enhanced with a tribal design all across my lower back a few years later, and the lizard. Aidar and I want to get tats together but we don't know what yet. He wants a Celtic cross and he jokes that I should get a Celtic star of David but that's just so wrong for so many reasons lol. I was thinking about getting a band on my arm or leg that matches my wedding band (I think it's the infinity rope - it's an Irish band) with a break in it that has the Irish Claddaugh (sp?) ring symbol and our wedding date but idk yet. I will try to post my tats at some point.

Wings are cool Meeka and I understand wanting to get the perfect design, BELIEVE ME!!!

i am looking into a dragon scene where a dragon is emerging from a water fall fighting a tiger. The tatoo will take up my whole arm and is gonna cost likr 500 bucks >< but i want it ><

I've got 3 tattoos!! 2 of them are of my spiritual animals or so i've been told after a vision quest. One is a Wolf howling at the moon and the other a Eagle in flight with some clouds set in the background. Those 2 are on my shoulders (one on either side). Last but not least is a Tattoo of my family's names in a tree. I need to get this one updated but haven't brought myself too it, basically cause of a death in my immediate family which happened about 4 years ago. Anyways that's the tattoos i've got.

i dont know itach, if it takes more than 1 breath to describe your tatoo maybe its too big Unless your planning to tatoo your whole body lol

Itachi - look into the symbolism of the dragon and the tiger before you have them fighting... Dragons are for protection, right, but tigers are for strength i think? Do you want your dragon fighting your tiger? hehehe

Zulu - thanks for sharing. I really like the idea of a family tree, and I love wolves.


Now I'm thinking that I want a giant koi on my thigh, but my friend is appaled by this idea and is trying to change my mind. I might end up getting a tiny koi somewhere else.
