I decided to try the "clear everything on regular" method to get the secret ending. I forget where I got stuck, think it was one of the cups. Those things are a pain in the ass.
I should've just played hard mode through.
EDIT:
In you and I There's a new la-a-and Angels in Flight (wonk uoy naht noitceffa erom deen I)
(gonna have that stuck in my head all morning, I love that song)

Didn't buy into the mass hysteria. Wasn't a huge fan of the first (though I can see why casual gamers could more readily overlook its fundamental gameplay flaws and appreciate it more than I did, and the Disney assets were utilized very well.)
Will I play through them both, all the way through at some point? Yeah, sure. It's just not high up on my list of priorities.

I never played the first one. I thought the idea was dumb. Donald and goofy? What am I, 4? So I was skeptical when I tried KH2. It's...designed for someone who likes a story. It's basically a really long movie with some fights in between. CS's happen often, and they are long. If you're the kind of person who skips most cs's in other games, you won't like it.

I bet the cutscenes don't compare in length to Xenosaga. In that game when you get to cutscenes, put down the controller, grab some popcorn and a drink, and watch for 15-20 minutes. lol

I bet total cs length was more, though.
It was 10-minute cs, run out of the zone, 10 minute cs, 5 minutes of fighting, 10-minute cs, blink, 10-minute cs.
I enjoyed the story, though, so I was fine with it.

I seriously doubt it, 'rick. It only takes about 10 hours of gameplay to beat Xenosaga. It takes the average person around 40 hours to beat it on a first run, however... there are literally almost 30 hours. When she says, "sit down and watch a 20 minute cutscene," she's really not exaggerating. Some of the them were so long, they'd allow you to save between viewing them.

I liked it, however, it could have used more cutscenes that were less cartoon like and what the hell's the deal making the secret ending easier for hard? >.> Gameplay was pretty damn easy too... but I enjoyed it.

You're telling me that there's not a single person who's played both and can answer?

You're telling me that there's not a single person who's played both and can answer? I loved Xenosaga...as an incomplete piece of a bigger picture. A picture that was supposed to eventually retell Xenogears (episode V), the greatest story ever written for the gaming genre of entertainment. Xenosaga started strong by introducing several very interesting characters and plotlines which had endless potential. Unfortunately, Xenosaga fans found themselves waiting a bit longer than expected for episode II. Given the series was supposed to be 9 episodes, the assumption was we could expect a new episode each year. But no - apparently the gorgeous graphics in Xenosaga were not good enough. Namco decided to spend two years recreating the Xeno-universe from scratch, including different character designs for the same people that were in Episode I. And since they were so concerned about the graphics, they dumbed down the battle system, dumbed down the story, and made us wait two long years for a steaming pile of crap. What fucking idiot over at Namco thought people played Xenogears/saga for the graphics? Two of the deepest games ever created, and they decided to drop all that and focus instead on the visual aspects - which they failed miserably at anyways. It still makes me angry. I never played Episode II, and neither did a lot of other people who loved Episode I. Apparently they saved some face and Ep. III is supposed to be decent, but I'll never know because I won't play the second. It was no surprise that with the horrible response to Episode 2 they ended up cancelling the rest of the 9 volume series. Bunch of fucking idiots. I don't understand how something like that could have even happened. And oh yeah, I never played KH. Summoning Bambi might have appealed to me 25 years ago, but sorry, I'll have to pass. Although I do hear they are good games - I would play them if I had more time.
